Prime Liston vs HOF team Mike Tyson

    - - Be a blowout KO for Mike, not to diminish the obvious reach advantage of Sonny. D1ck Sadler was no match for Cus C'Amato as a trainer leveraging Mike's formidable natural attributes.

**** Saddler is not the one who polished Liston, Willie Reddish was. And Willie was a training match for anyone, and once fought Walcott for 10 of 'em.

I like Saddler over Cus as a trainer. cus is overated with his peakaboo style.

Saddler is irrelevant to the discussion.

          - - Saddler mentored by Doc Kearns played a key role in Sonny and George development has gravitas. Dunno much about Reddish, but here tis his boxrec profile. With a 33% KO ratio, don't think he was as "avoided" as claimed. More likely he fought in the classic "spoiler" style to make up for lack of size and power.

Every Black fighter with a weak resume is claimed to have been avoided. Some actually were, but it is the go to statement when touting the quality of a Black fighter who's resume doesn't back it up.

I saw three opportunities to step up, Walcott, Lewis, Simon. He dropped all three. One victory and his career would have changed completely.

              - - Apparently Joe Louis ducked a dozen black fighters who seldom appeared in the Ring rankings so he could fight the Ring ranked opponents in spite of not responsible for his manager/promoter's matchmaking...

You don't know much about anything. That is one of your problems, halfwit.

Mentored by Doc Kearns makes one a great trainer now. Kearns just called himself a trainer to stay close to that money too.

                    - - No different to any other trainer who ever existed.

Where Doc exceeded other trainers was in his crookery and deceit that had no bounds, P4P as it were.
