      - -Guess the 2nd best fight with Lewis vs Tyson at my bro's place with a long time friend of ours.

Bro was becoming a brittle diabetic and had spent 6 weeks in a coma the week after 911. I was there every day to talk to him and hold his hand that the medical staff appreciated. When he finally woke, he saw me talking with the nurse, so I scrambled out to let them do their assessment without distraction. Returning the next day, he already had the nurses around his little pinky and discharged a week later.

Fortunately his boss was also one of his best friends, so he was able to work his way back to the top sales spot on the showroom floor. Pat and myself had looked after his cats and mail and now he wanted us over for the big fight. I knew his sales staff were a bunch a high roller wannabees who'd go heavy into this fight, so I wrote my first fight analysis noting Tyson by then had become a 4 round fighter whereas Lewis was defensively cautious with a big punch for all 12 rounds, so if any for Tyson best go for early rounds since it was gonna be all Lewie after that and that's how it turned out. Bro got big props for getting a copy into everyone's hand.

He fired up his pride and joy grill, so we ate, drank, and gabbed as we pleased before, during, and after. I remember at one point, fed up with Lampley's garbage, I opened his glassed back door to watch the rest of the fight through the closed glass as I lounged on his new patio chairs. Alas, that the last time we were all together. He passed in his sleep less than a year later, but what a comeback he made!

I remember Lewis-Holyfield 1 - we all left before decision was announced, believing Lewis won by a mile. And then we're at a bar watching something about a draw being scored and were like WTF
