He'll make it through longevity eventually, not his fault that he hasn't had much opposition but credit to him for dealing with what is in front of him.
I'll be pleased to cheer him into the HOF as it will mean he has retired and I won't have to watch another fight like his last one.

I am American and Wlad is my favorite fighter. Of the posters I know well who are American the majority are also big Wlad fans.
All americans do on this site is go around making posts like Tyson vs Wlad or X american vs Y European, with the intent of tearing the european down and belittling him compared to the american fighters.

Wladimir did everything he could to earn this spot. If he keeps doing it, there is no reason he shouldn't be an ATG. If he can KO named fighters in his next bouts( Haye, Chambers) that could help.
Wlad is so far already an ATG, Vitali is the better fighter but is not an ATG.

Its the problem with trying to place a fighters historical legacy before the story is told.
Don Curry's name came up tonight in another forum, I think he is struggling to get in most peoples top 20 atg welters.
If however you asked the question the day before he faced Honeyghan it would be a quite different answer.

Sadly, I think its safe to say with the sad state of the heavyweight division, he would never be considered an all time great. Now with his size and power I believe he could gave been a factor in any era (past or the future). But with his boring style and no opponents to even push him to prove his greatness he is better off trying to find a time machine if he wants to be an ATG
