Yeah, it really was.

It's crazy because you could say that he wasted potential, but on the other hand, he was the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

There's guys like Ken Norton who could never say that, who are in the hall of fame.

Ken Norton beat Ali in their 3rd fight and should of been undisputed heavyweight champion. Even Ali himself admitted that Ken Norton beat him all three times and he (Ali) knew he could never get a legit win over Norton. So Ken Norton beat Ali three times so that is good enough to get himself in to the Hall of Fame.

At the time the boxing wags were calling it a one round fight. The 15th.

Even before the scores were tallied, at the beginning of the 15th, it felt, in our gut, like the 15th would be the decider.

One could judge that round and decide who wanted it more and in a sense judge the fight.

(I kind of felt that way going into the 15th with Holmes-Norton.)
