Lol, Lamotta by KO in rd 13 Floyd doesn't got the strongest punches and Lamotta could take hits like nothing

Plus Floyd would probably tire out

No reason to believe Floyd could beat a legitimate MW champion who handled Ray Robinson.

I'd like to see Floyd fight someone like Pavlik or Taylor before any talk of past great MWs

LaMotta is too big for Mayweather.

floyd could possibly make it to decision, but his style would kill him over 15 rounds, lamotta was ****ing tough too, best estimate is lamotta by ko i think.

Don't think Mayweather would do much damage as he is more countering and Lamotta more focused on giving the big punches, but yeah Lamotta for me.

Floyd is always in top condition come fight time so I have no doubt he could have boxed the 15 rounds with Lamotta. Both had or has brittle hands and neither is known for thier punching power when it comes down to it. Floyd can counter and move his way to a decision fairly easily IMO.
BTW, which weight is this fight at? That makes a difference too.

EDIT: Naw this fight whould've probly been a war. Floyd still would've won more rounds tho, i think.

Jake would stop him inside 8 rounds

LaMotta couldn't make anything less than 155 lbs and Mayweather wouldn't weigh any more than 147. I think LaMotta would have about a 15 lb weight advantage over Mayweather like he did against Robinson in their earlier fights.

Robinson was knocked down through the ropes in the eighth, being saved by the bell at the count of nine, after taking a right to the head and a left to the body. Referee Hennessey gave LaMotta five rounds including the last four. He gave Robinson four and called one even. Two other judges gave the same scores. The much heavier LaMotta charged Robinson at every opportunity with bull-like rushes. Robinson tried to outbox his shorter opponent but had a lot of trouble keeping him at bay.
Robinson's best round was the sixth. LaMotta rallied furiously in the 9th, 10th, and 11th rounds. "The fight followed the usual pattern (of the previous four fights between te two), Robinson flashing style in the early heats, then coasting when he could. Jake set out in pursuit at the opening bell and bored in with bulldog tenacity throughout." The decision was disputed. Afterward, Robinson said "This was the toughest fight I've ever had with LaMotta."
I think it would be almost impossible for Mayweather to keep LaMotta off.

Robinson, who was 3 inches taller than Mayweather, had serious firepower, combinations and a strong jab and he still found it very hard to fight Jake, Robinson might've won most of their fights but aside from the last one they were all close decisions.

If they were the same size then Mayweather would win, but LaMotta is a middleweight and Mayweather is a small welterweight. If Mayweather beats a guy like Pavlik or Abraham then I'll believe it.

This fight isn't exactly LaMotta at his best but he does quite well against Robinson in these middle rounds 5 and 6.
