I respect your right to choose any fighter you want to be on your top 10 list, but could you explain the presence of Braddock and Schmeling while fighters like Jack Johnson, Sonny Liston and Jack Dempsey are noticably absent?

And Holmes! I totaly missed that. I have a ton of respect for Braddock and Schmeling, especially Max, but to have either of them higher than Holmes, Liston, Dempsey and Johnson is boxing sacriledge in my opinion. Im hoping that poster with explain his or her logic, but Im not gonna hold my breath waiting for it to happen.

            Yeah my friend, i came.

Max and Jim were the heros who told real meaning of boxing sport. Maybe they didn't have powerful punches of Foreman, speed of Ali, full style of Lewis or chin of Frazier but they had a much more important thing; "brave heart". They showed the reality that boxing was not only a game of the punches, more importantly it was like a little model of the real life including pain, fear, struggle, bravery, victory and etc.

I agree with everything you have said here. Unfortunatly that doesn't mean they had better careers and should be ranked higher than others who were more accomplished champions and fighters than themselves.

                1) Ali
                2) Holyfield (a prime holy was quite amazing)
                3) Holmes
                4) Lewis
                5) Louis
                6) Foreman
                7) Tyson
                8) Dempsey
                9) Marciano
                10) Frazier
Last 3, I'm not sure which order. I put Dempsey up there for modernizing boxing and taking on opponents twice his size. Marciano for being undefeated. Tyson for cleaning out the heavyweight division and being the youngest heavyweight champ.

I have holmes at no.3, he fought in both Era's and still posed a great threat even in his old age. See Holyfield vs Holmes. Almost beat Marciano's record and fought much better competition.

I have Holyfield at number 2 due to his multiple title winnings, competition and the fact that I see a Prime holy beating Lewis. I might switch this up though, so don't anybody go berserk.
