    This will be Neils next favorite movie.



    AMERICA: FREEDOM TO FASCISM

    This indie doc takes a look at the U.S. government with a decidedly angry slant, including topics such as the IRS, the Federal Reserve, abridged freedoms of U.S. citizens, money creation, voter fraud, the national identity card, the implementation of Radio Frequency Identification technology to track citizens and an alleged police state.

              Between pay cable and a short stack of DVDs I got to borrow from my sister, I've seen a handful of movies in the past couple weeks (and a couple cinema visits). I'll include the rating I gave the movie on my imdb account and if you agree/disagree on me on any, feel free to respond...

              Hoodwinked: 5/10
              The Ice Harvest: 8/10
              Shopgirl: 6/10
              Brokeback Mountain: 8/10
              Clerks II: 7/10
              Fresh Horses: 4/10 (and that's generous, but I'm giving an extra point for unintentional comedy factor for its early twentysomething Ben Stiller performance)
              The Squid and the Whale: 8/10
              Transamerica: 6/10
              Superman Returns: 6/10

                i had Transamerica on my netflix list, as I was curious, but it doesn't look like it was even worth it.

                  No ****ing way you give superman a 6. My friends and I almost walked out because it was so bad. There's no way it's better than a 4.5 at the very top out of 10.

                    Transamerica gets even uglier in terms of subject matter than would be required in an already heavy film - but not for the better - the viewer is already barraged by an atypical road movie. The woman's son is mistreated in this movie by about everyone - include the scriptwriter.

                    Felicity Huffman is good but I thought the movie was overrated...
