Seriously. I think he's so overrated.

So he had political views. He took chances. He was average imo.

On a side note, I just found another person who claims to have heard the new Jay-Z album. They are saying its "lyrically heavy", I'm really getting pumped for this cd.

lol, never heard that he was consistant, usually on his crappy albums he's got like 3-4 and the other 10 songs are garbage. Sometimes he just can't feel the emotion of a beat, like the song "Beach Chair", the instrumental spoke for itself, but he ruined it with cheesy flow and lyrics, the rest was good, i still listin to that song, but when he starts rapping i turn it down.

Lol yea, but at first I hated it, but then I listined to it again and then I couldn't stop listining to it. But Raekwon is gettin' lazy on the mike and Meth's vocals were to gruff and ruined the the emotion of the song, but like always, Ghost killed it and made me feel the song. It's their first single, but I know it won't do good because kids ain't looking for meaning nowadays, I guess I'm the only pure 14-year old white boy :/

Jay-Z is the definition of garbage. Reasonable Doubt had what only two good songs on it? In My Lifetime was horrible, Hard Knock Life was decent after that everything=useless puke.

            Tupac hit em up.

I need to listen to it more, I thought it was cool the first time around. The best thing about it is the creativness of it. Yeah its too bad that Wu-Tang probably won't sell alot of records unless they come up with a single that appeals to the mainstream. Real hip hop fans will appreciate the album...

Vol.3...The Life and Times of S.Carter is the only album with 10 tracks garbage that you speak of (Do It Again (Put Ya Hands Up), Dopeman, Big Pimpin', So ******, and the Intro are dope...the rest are hot garbage) but every other single album he has put out has been dope as ****. Reasonable Doubt is a classic, Vol1 is a classic (1 bad track - I Know What Girls Like, but it was the single so I'll let him have a club hit), Vol.2 had some of the best lyricism I've ever heard from jay, Vol 3 was hot garbage, Dynasty Roc La Familia was just a sick album musically (classic if it wasn't for some weak verses from Memphis Bleek & Beanie Sigel). The Blueprint is a classic even though Em outshines him. The Black Album is even better and only one bad song (but it was the single - Change Clothes). Kingdome Come is also a solid album.

But seriously...you being 14 I don't know how you can have an opinion on a lot of his music (no offense). Jay's versatlilty is second to none and he can flow with the best of 'em and ride any hot beat thats put in front of him (how many people can rip up 'Dirt Off My Shoulder'?). The man can make concious tracks, club ****ers, chill music, **** to smoke to, all that ****.......The GOD!

Jay-Z ain't garbage, he's just inconsistant, but if you say Reasonable Doubt is garbage and Hard Knock Life? To me he's either had a classic album or garbage ones, and maybe only 3 completley garbage ones, the rest are ok. but garbage? are you one of those dudes thats still stuck on 2Pac??? No offense but 2Pac is the most overrated MC and not even credible enough to deserve a spot in the top 10.

That's false. Jay is extremely consisten and hasn't put out weak material with the exception of Vol 3 with had a couple gems.

Lmao even Tupac after he died released better freestyles and lyrics than Jay "izzo jigga what jigga this I suck and make lame sayings" Z. Comparing pac with z is a disgrace.

Tupac's Makaveli intro is better than anything Jay-Z will ever do.
