Originally posted by Smokin' View PostVol.3...The Life and Times of S.Carter is the only album with 10 tracks garbage that you speak of (Do It Again (Put Ya Hands Up), Dopeman, Big Pimpin', So ******, and the Intro are dope...the rest are hot garbage) but every other single album he has put out has been dope as ****. Reasonable Doubt is a classic, Vol1 is a classic (1 bad track - I Know What Girls Like, but it was the single so I'll let him have a club hit), Vol.2 had some of the best lyricism I've ever heard from jay, Vol 3 was hot garbage, Dynasty Roc La Familia was just a sick album musically (classic if it wasn't for some weak verses from Memphis Bleek & Beanie Sigel). The Blueprint is a classic even though Em outshines him. The Black Album is even better and only one bad song (but it was the single - Change Clothes). Kingdome Come is also a solid album.
But seriously...you being 14 I don't know how you can have an opinion on a lot of his music (no offense). Jay's versatlilty is second to none and he can flow with the best of 'em and ride any hot beat thats put in front of him (how many people can rip up 'Dirt Off My Shoulder'?). The man can make concious tracks, club ****ers, chill music, **** to smoke to, all that ****.......The GOD!

I'd like more lyrical songs' like "99 Problems" was, because that song had a story and clever lyrical **** on that track that had me trippin. Don't use me being 14 against me 'cause half the people who talk to me over the net think im like 28 until I tell them I'm 14, because I always try to be the farthest thing from being ignorant and try to look at both sides of a story first before I talk trash.
But seriously bro, how can you feel what these dudes are saying, or 'the emotion' as you say.

But one reason is is that I grew up on rap and I take music seriously, considering even my mother and 6 siblings listin to this ****, it's basically life lessons for certain songs to me. But there's a variety of different songs. Like I won't listin to smokin' songs because I don't smoke weed, I won't listin to club songs because I'm not even allowed in clubs nor does anyone throw big partys anymore. get me?
