We're all like kids these days. Since the second world war there seems to be some childlike infatuation with having a "bad guy" country or some kind of axis of evil bull**** fed to us.

Russia is Russia. This bull**** backstory the media and the arms vendors to the US military are pedalling is simply to keep the endless consumption going. Consumption of news and media. Consumption of weapons even though we have plenty. Lining the politicians that were brought to office by fundraising from these same c**ts. Its worth so much money and they won't stop.

I'd be more worried about western countries liquidating their wealth into China, a country with fixed currency artificially keeping its exports cheap, limited protection of it's workers and no respect of intellectual property. As a global community, we haven't applied universal controls to their markets and greed has shipped much manufacturing from all of our countries to them.

In my country, we have just had one enormous year long push all over the media about gay marriage.......like anyone gives a ****. So many non-issues these days sounded out by super loud ********** with support of those who seek to detract from real issues.

Really, the agenda to misinform everyone is done by getting every non-issue and driving so hard, telling everyone that we really have to care about **** that anyone with a shred of common sense can tell is unworthy of attention is to divide everybody.

Once everyone is divided over all the crap, business (including the media business) keep the consumption going while nobody gets really upset by the real inequality that is slowly eating our living standards, our cultural iden****** (especially cultural iden****** that have been painted with the kiddie "evil guy" brush) and our freedoms.

          lol

The same folks who are here, trying to argue that a sanctions package that cleared Congress 530-6 is not needed, would be screaming bloody murder were a ******** to unanimously decide to ignore a sanctions package for literally any other nation that we'd sanction. Lol.

The Russians interfered with the 2016 presidential election; folks still dis*****g that are wasting air. Whether it was feeding stolen information to their willing proxy of WikiLeaks, the Facebook bots to target information/disinformation to potential voters, or the host of other things that they did, the Russians affected the election.

How folks here want to dance around the issue now is ****ing ridiculous.

Is the hope that Russia will elect some Trudeau-caliber puppet/actor candidate & voluntarily bow to our demands without getting anything in return? This is the Cold War paradigm. We don't expect that from any other major world powers. Our demands will become increasingly bizarre in order to justify the pet feud of our intelligence community.

The outgoing US administration flat out refused to deal with ISIS on the basis that the Russians were just as bad, the real threat, don't bake wedding cakes for ****s.

Anything they could come up with to make the "rival" look bad even if it meant hundreds of thousands of children being ****d and murdered.
Strongmen suck, full stop; any move to put extra pressure on strongmen and let the population know is a good thing.

In a free and fair election, I doubt that Russians pick ***** again; whether I agree with the positions or not, any conversation with whatever leader that emerges will begin with the fact that said leader was freely and fairly elected by the Russian people.

*****'s Russia has been the most disruptive force in the world, and it's largely been for ill.

To now try and act as if ***** has been this constructive force is rich, lol.

Than the sovereignty of the nation in his supposed "America First" vision? Lol

How has *****'s Russia mostly been a force of ill in the world? These are broad unspecific statements.

His support in Russia is overwhelming as well. Whether via a propaganda monopoly or not. He is one of the more beloved major world leaders.

I am not passionately pro- nor anti-***** (closer to anti) but most of the world's countries have ethically questionable leadership & attempt to influence American policy. What makes Russia exceptional in this regard? If you were presenting the sanctions to congress what would your bullet list be?

It seems your general political "orientation" is to just be the opposite of Trump on every issue even if you lack genuine interest in that issue. I'm not expecting much, but I'm giving you a chance.

How did that work out for us?? And for Eastern Europe in general??

                    But yeah, Trump's a genius.
I like how nobody addressed this. Not even the person who posted the video of ***** telling Medvedev he'll have more flexibility after the election. That's what that statement was about. Medvedev wanted the missile defense sheild shelved. Romney was running as a hawk on Russia. After the election when Russia invaded Crimea and **********s were saying Romney was right. ***** eventually instituted the missile defense sheild. And that was a Bush era initiative after ***** ****ed him over. He said he looked into *****'s eyes and got a sense of his soul. And who can forget the Hillary Clinton reset button with Russia.
