I don't know how much he's capable of actually benching and I'm really not invested enough to care much. I do know that he has the physique of the strongest man at every gym I've ever been to. I've only seen 2 men in my life bench 500+ so I'm not claiming to be an expert on that subject, I just don't see anything about him that would make me doubt he's an extremely powerful man.Last edited by Gods We Faked; 09-07-2014, 12:23 PM.

I'm mean, look at this guy, he isn't even that known, but what would make you say that he is not as "fleet" as a good skilled NFL player, whatever the position might be. If he put on some muscle you think he couldn't run with a football? (hypothetically speaking) No one can ever catch the guy, including all the blacks fellas on the England football team.
Thing is, while overall I might go in favor of saying on average skill position NFL players will on average probably be better "all around" afletes, there are still many in soccer.

And lastly, there are a lot of components to "athleticism", strength and speed are just a few of them.
You can word the definition in a way to suit any one type, that does not make it right.
Are there faster athletes than NFLers? Yes.
Are there stronger athletes than NFLers? Yes.
Athletes with better endurance then NFLers? yes.

Check Phelps and his skinny ass....

Who's more atheletic, distance runners or shot-putters? Who's more athletic, ballet dancers or professional snowboarders? Who's more athletic, wrestlers or triathletes?
That's the problem, the term "athletic" is an incredibly broad term that is completely meaningless. You might as well ask who's the most "sporty".

as for thread question, of course NFL players are more athletic than soccer players. nfl places a premium on size, speed, and strength. soccer is more of a skilled base sport.
