It's difficult.

We need a whole new defence apart from maybe James who you can work with and keeper and probably a striker. Probably a proper DM would work better than Kante too. Azpi is an old reliable but a top team would even be phasing him out now.

So that is 6 to 7 actual first team players. Yet they're somehow 3rd.

I just dont think anyone can criticise Lampard. Especially Chelsea fans. It's not like Villas Boas who had champion players.

We have novice manager with a lot of novice players. We are finishing above a handful of teams with better players than us most likely.

This Chelsea side all being equal would get wrecked by every Chelsea team of the last 20 years, lol. Maybe longer.

That’s a funny mention because for a guy who hated Villas Boas (Frank). Frank looks like he is emulating Villas Boas’ style at Chelsea.

Frank isn’t bad though. I don’t criticize him there. More like constructive criticize. I don’t want him out or to see him do badly but with young players or not, it’s astonishing how linear Chelsea play.

I know I said he looks like he is emulating Villas Boas’ tactics and style but even Villas Boas’ tactics were a more complex.

I remember that tactic sheet that got out from Villas Boas. At least he had some intricate player rotations. If Cole went forward, Romeu dropped into defense and Ramires shielded midfield etc.

With Frank, everyone besides Pulisic looks like they are attached to a rail. Just a weird observation. That Norwich could play football with Chelsea, they just couldn’t run with Chelsea. They had guys out ran by Alonso. Crazy.

There should be loads really.

Norwich: Cantwell, Buendia, Hernandez, Aarons, Godfrey, even Krul would be a great back up keeper for Chelsea that would probably put Kepa out of the team.

Aarons is obviously very good. Will probably go to Spurs. He's the new Robertson. Just 20.

Cantwell is more dynamic than Grealish for me.

Buendia is very skilful and has created the most chances in the league.

Godfrey is an up and coming centre half with good physicality. A bit like Joe Gomez.

Hernnadez is a raw winger with skill a poor man's Traore. Would be a good option of the bench for the bottom 2/3rds of the league.


Villa:

Tom Heaton: established prem keeper. Bad injury. Likely another keeper better than Kepa.

Mings: big, strong, centre half.

Douglas Luiz? Dunno if that is his name. Think he is on city's books. Looks a good player. Will get another loan to a prem team.

Grealish: He is decent. Good leadership qualities. But pretty much Willian in style and output.

McGinn: nice footballer who takes a good set piece and for most of the league apart from staying compact the only thing they care about is taking a good corner.

The premier league has been garbage this year. No question.

Who else is going down? Bournemouth?

Ramsdale: decent young keeper. Better than Kepa

Ake: Silky player. But undersized.

Joshua King: strong forward who runs the hard yards. Doesn't score lots but he probably could.
