    Weight Question

Im 150 pnds & im 5"8 and ive been doing a lot of running cardio everyday I don't eat too much cuz i dont want to gain the weight, and sometimes cant control and help to eat a lot .Not anymore thats the past . But I have had discipline and have been cutting all junk food and all the fatty stuff,no carbs and all that. but how much more weight can i lose? and look healthy , sometimes i feel like going down to 145 a lot and i have been cutting the junkfood not eating past 7 it costs me a lot of trouble to not eat certain foods i would just pig out before getting strict with my eating haha , people say i look better thin too and it motivates me I get more attention from gurls and stuff but enough with that

    here is my meal plan

    Breakfast - Cereal
    Lunch-Yogurt
Dinner- One Chicken Breast with veggies the size of my fist portion

Usually around 6-7 I just Run an hour everyday around the park until i sweat a lot,
I do have a glass of milk and a oatmeal cookie before going to bed.

Dont do that mate! You shouldnt starve yourself.

Cut out the running and do Hight Intensity Interval ( is a good place to get an idea of what it entails) training instead 4 times a week, of course do some running every now and again , but running an hour a day on hardly any food is doing more harm than good, and when you feel like pigging out cos of the hunger its actually doing more to promote fat retention than burning it. You shouldnt really go any lower than 1,600 cals a day, from the look of your eating plan you're not reaching that amount.

Dont cut out carbs altogether either, just makesure theyre clean, (e.g. wholemeal bread, wholeweat pasta, veggies, fruits etc). Eat around 6-7 small meals a day. Load up on carbs in the morning and lunch and try to avoid them in the evening. Remember to rest aswell, take 2 maybe 3 days off a week to let your body recover!

This may bring more questions than answers and i'm sure there are people here who can give you a more detailed breakdown of the do's and dont's. I mean i'm by no means an expert but i can safely say that you shouldnt continue with your current routine.

Something doesn't add up - at all. If that's your meal plan, you should be down to 145 pounds in a week, if that's all you're eating. All of that is barely 1500 calories, and, assuming you actually do the roadwork like you say you do, you need at least 2500 calories a day. You're consuming much less than that, and you should be losing about a pound at 2-3 days tops.

Clearly, you snack heavily. What I would suggest is simply working out more, and eating more balanced meals. 6-7 meals doesn't necessarily always work for everyone - I know it doesn't work for me. I have disciplined myself to be able to jump from 155 pounds to about 152 pounds over 2-3 days, but this is probably very unhealthy and I don't suggest doing it. I don't eat 6-7 meals; I eat about 3-4, sometimes 5, but I workout for very long periods of time, and sweat much more than the average male, so a lot of the weight drop could be attributed to water weight loss.

If you're looking to lose weight, you basically need to understand that it comes mostly down to cutting calories, as 3500 calories equals one pound of weight moreorless. If you want to drop weight, I would suggest cutting about 100 calories the first week. So, instead of consuming 2000 calories a day as normal, you could consume 1900 calories for the first week. Then, consume 1800 calories the second week. See how that works.

Again, it all depends on what your goals are, and how long you are willing to work to get to the weight that you want. If you want to drop 5 pounds in a week or two, then drastic adjustments have to be made to your diet, and it usually comes with unhealthy consequences. If you have more time, make more gradual adjustments. Try to do simple adjustments to your diet like less bread and pasta for more fruit; no salt added to your meat, cooking healthily (like steaming, boiling, and roasting in the oven with no oil instead of frying your food).

I'd say your weight at 5"8 is healthy enough, if not a little less than it needs to be for the average healthy male. PM me if you have more specific questions. Hope this helps somewhat.

That is completely wrong. It is all about body types. He could be naturally chubby or skinny. You can't say how good his weight is for him without knowing what he looks like.

While I don't know what his body type is like - true - I have heard that a healthy weight for a male is his height in centimeters minus 100. So, if I am about 174 cm, I should be about 74 kg, if I want to be considered "healthy". I know this is how they do it in Russia. For someone that wants to be ripped or skinny, obviously this doesn't apply. I don't remember his saying he wants to be ripped in his post, so I didn't talk about what kind of diet he should have to achieve that.
