Would Andre Ward have had a similar / same KO% as GGG if he fought same opposition?

wards the hardest puncher in the sport. ggg fanboys just cant deal with it. look how he folded kovalev with those body shots and knocked out kessler and made him a bloody mess. the other fighters he fought just fougth to survive.

All of those things related to what could've happened after Kovalev looked hurt from taking legal punches are speculation. You could state that Kovalev would've been stopped anyway. I could just as justifiably claim that Kovalev could've recovered.

However. the fact is: THE BOUT ENDED AFTER WARD LANDED A LOW BLOW ON KOVALEV! In other words, the final punch that was landed before the TKO occurred was a low blow. That's my point and that is totally inexcusable or indefensible.

This is not complicated GGG is the harder puncher and Ward beats the sht out of GGG, and Ward is the overall better fighter.

They might not be saying it, but this is what they all think. That's why this thread was necessary. Had to bring those cats back down to earth.

GGG is the best fighter of all time. Folded the likes of Lajuan Simon and countless other feared killers.

beats the sh-it out of him with fouls? hes not better. if he was better he wouldnt have to foul constantly to beat opponents. he doesnt do that against brand or paul smith. only when challenged does he have to resort to illegal tactics which tells me his boxing isnt at the elite level at all. elite level promoting and protection sure but as a boxer hes quite mediocre. ggg the much better pure boxer. war the better take advantage of my sitution guy

why wouldnt he be able to come back? he was almost fully recovered when ward landed those low blows so he was almost back already. he was slipping and avoiding everything ward threw at that point which is prob why ward went low in the first place.

also ward had expended a lot of energy trying to go for the ko and failing so its not inconcievable at all to think kovalev would come back in the next couple rounds due to wards fatigue. you are actling like he was battered for 6 staight floyd-gatti rounds or something. all the punches that made him bend over in pain in the 7th and 8th were illegal punches. he still won the the 7th round so how was he done? did you factor in wards low blow as a clean punch?

thats like saying floyd was done when judah hit him low and giving judah the round. uhh no. kovalev was still winning the fight clearly on my and most cards so even if he did go on to lose a decision so be it but he wasnt in any real danger cept for the brief moment he was hurt which had already passed. the whole point of corrupt reffing is to not let him recover since he was winning the fight and im sure weeks and ward knew kovalev was prob winning the fight(as it turned out 2 judges were on the take as usual for ward) but they couldnt possibly know that. ward seemed to get desperate after being outboxed and started going low in the 7th and after weeks ignored blows he had previously ruled as low, ward continued to go there.weeks saw his opportunity to act(or not act when one fighter is being low blowed) now hes a disgrace but he did his job and protected ward from losing. it had to come at the expense of robing kov but so be it.

don't think most had him winning clearly it was close but u could see kov was going south and I don't think he was recovered from right. but we are far apart on this so that's just agree to disagree
