I put him in the same league as Oscar De La Hoya, great boxers that could of been so much more.
Toe to toe isn't boxing, that's a fight, and it's ****** when you have an entire ring to use. Go read about the sport or something, you sound like a pole smoker.

Floyd haters that like Valero, who killed his wife. Monzon fans... but it's the domestic violence doe. Tons of boxers committed domestic violence.

They hate that Floyd beat their favorite fighters. They said he would duck, Floyd signs to fight, they pick Floyd's opponent by T/KO usually, Floyd wins a wide UD, then they bring up excuses to diminish the win, and move on to the next guy hoping Floyd would lose. The same type of clowns have been exposed in the Mayweather hit list thread.

Lots are just racist. I always got accused of being just for being a Floyd fan. I am far from that "demographic" .
We should ask those folks if they have the same 'hatred' for the fighters on this list (from 2011) who engage in the same violence against women as Mayweather does (shout out to poster Fights. for the thread: LINK,

Here are boxers who punch their wife/girlfriend/woman:

      Who else?
      WHY?
Would be real curious to see how many of these fighters are these posters have in the past or are currently prepared to discredit, personally and more importantly, as fighters, because of it.

        Because he beat up women.

Because he set a terrible precedent by being more concerned with his zero and $ than proving himself. That's why for so long we didn't see the best fighting the best with guys like Canelo following his lead.

Because he fought not to lose rather than to put on a good show, even when facing overmatched fighters like he often fought.

Because he sucker punched a guy to get his only KO in 10 years.

Because he loses no opportunity to tastelessly show off his money.

Because he questioned why he should give money to Africa.

People hate floyd because he has a big mouth, can back it up, they know the truth about him, but choose to deny it (like how Manny was the one who avoided the fight) and as much as I hate this because the guy is black. Now, normally that shouldn't matter, but the facts are right here. Look at this site and how many racist posters and posts are made all the time. It's pathetic. It is, however, proof that a fighter can be black, white, etc, but from some he will get ZERO credit no matter what. The same people who hate floyd hate ward, and ward has now signed for a second fight with kovalev, while golovkin will NEVER rematch jacobs, but he gets a pass because of the racists here. Ward however can do nothing right...everyone wants things on their time line. Same for Floyd

Man you Floydies are sensitive. Boxing is fighting, a combat sport, you HAVE TO FIGHT knucklehead! And that's why Floyd won't go down as the greatest.

He didn't sucker punch him, the guy used his ****ing head like a torpedo into floyds face. I would've knocked his azz out too and anyone who says otherwise is a liar.

how often is ray leonard brought up on bcene? anybody who knows anything about ray leonard will tell you that he wasn't a saint. same with ray robinson. guys who are schooled in the career of leonard, or who lived through it, just don't post on bcene.

and as another poster pointed out, domestic violence in the 50's or even the 80's didn't get the kind of attention it gets today. people used to smack their wives and there wans't a ton of fuss made about it. i remember when rhiana was getting abused by chris brown a relatively high res photo of her face was "leaked." this is just a different era, and i have no problem with the increased level of scrutiny these athletes get if they're hitting their wives.

He fought he best of the best of his era thru 5 divisions and love or hate him he was an artist in the ring

I like Floyd the fighter. He was a great fighter. There's no doubt about that. But you have to understand his attitude and ****ty personality and his issues with the law puts a damper on him as a boxer and someone to respect. Great All Time boxer and for the most part was entertaining in the ring. But ****ty person.

By the way when raising kids, yes teach your kids to be confident and have self belief and to work hard but also be humble along the way. Never teach your kids to be ****y and self centered.

Floyd had the confidences, self belief and hard work inside him. But dude lacked the humbleness gene and was a self centered jerk with a ****y attitude.
