Not saying he isn't #2, I'm saying given his 10 most recent opponents and a quick 1st round KO of Quillin, he hasn't gotten the best experience to prepare for GGG that's all. I honestly think Lemieux is better and has just a good enough KO ratio as Danny Jacobs. His wins against Hassan N'Dam, Glen Tapia and Gabriel Rosado were better experience fights against GGG than the 1 minute KO against the overly protected Peter Quillin. When the Latin snakes are putting you on your as for Christ sakes, you're not ready for GGG.

The reason Jacobs is the clear #2 guy is because Canelo, Lara and Charlo are all swimming in the JMW waters and haven't ascended in weight. Eubank Jr and Billy Joe Saunders are clearly a cut below based on their recent in ring performances. Lemieux got stopped by Triple G so he's out. So out of that field Jacobs is the best guy with the best resume. None of these other guys have a win as good as Quillin and their best victories are on par with the Mora win. Who else would you really consider as #2 right now? Maybe a year from now when Canelo and Charlo have invaded the division there will be a new #2. For now Jacobs is a cut above the rest and the best challenge at 160.

Hey I missed your dumb rants bro, for once you're making sense. I never said and don't disagree that Canelo/Chavez outsells Jacobs/GGG. This is why you're a casual at best because I never mentioned anything about sales to get your kind of response. Jacobs will be Golovkin's 8th Ring top-10 ranked middleweight since 2012 (so doesn't include Brook as he was ranked in a different division).

Golovkin will be Jacob's 3rd Ring top 10 fighter since 2012 (and one of those three was in 2012...Pirog).

Since Pirog, Jacob's last 12 opponents had a win ratio of 78% (ie won 78% of their previous fights). Golovkin's last 12 opponents have had a win ratio of 90%.

So if Golovkin's opponents have been B, Jacob's opponents have been.........
