Now your arguments would have merit if I didn't have a source, but I did provide a source to DeGale's manager stating that Ward pulled out of a contract already signed by DeGale, how is that not avoiding? DESPERATE AS FK? Look who's talking.

I'm not fixated on DeGale, you're the one who is, but that doesn't change the fact that Ward has been avoiding him as in refuses to fight him when the opportunities where there. I'm all good with Ward's decision as of now as long as he keeps his word that he fights three times this year in 2016 against quality opponents.

Your opinion on DeGale not being the most deserving for a title has nothing to do with the argument. As for what people would say if Ward stayed at 168 for DeGale, I don't know. A lot of people in forums also would like to see a Ward vs DeGale fight. I'm pretty sure fans and the media would not see Ward ducking Kovalev because DeGale is a dangerous opponent.

Three honest answers would have been nicer

    1) If Ward stayed at 168 just for Degale, despite it being CLEARLY OBVIOUS that Golovkin will never fight him..... most people would insinuate that Ward remained at 168 to duck Kovalev. Agreed?

    2) Who do you think would win if Ward fought Golovkin ?

    3) Why the fk won't Degale avenge Groves ?

Groves may not have been interested in giving Degale an immediate rematch, but I am sure that he would jump on that fight now following his 2 losses to Froch and given that Degale is holding a strap.

      1. For one more fight at SMW? No. There would be less criticism of Ward if he fought DeGale because he hasn't fought a quality opponent in a while. The main criticism of Ward right now is that he's fighting D level boxers. If he stuck around for two fights, probably the media would be on him to move up. The rumor going on was that Ward's original plan was to have 1 fight at SMW (GGG) than have two fights at LHW. Replace GGG with DeGale.

      2. I think Ward beats him.

      3. Because Groves simply refuses to fight him. DeGale's team has been pushing for a rematch for the last year at least, and Groves simply refuses to budge. Groves is still not interested in a rematch despite losing to Jack.

... Everything is CLEARLY OBVIOUS here...

... but there is only one thing which isn't CLEARLY OBVIOUS, namely: eventually, who is Ward fighting next?

it's because you're really good, andre. and your best opponent is at 175.

thta's a closer fight than ward - golovkin, in my opinion.

... with Floyd on his side, it can be 'arranged' that Haymon provides him with more than only one "best opponent"...

I think Golovkin-Ward would be closer. Vs Kovalev, Ward either wins pretty clear with maybe a scare or he gets caught and stopped.

With Golovkin-Ward it would be fairly close through-out.

Kovalev is fairly open to counters, stands upright and seems to only really throw straight punches(or long hooks), he'll have trouble throwing compact shots with Ward inside, and he'll have to catch Ward before he ducks. Golovkin will mix up a wider range of variety in his punches(vicious uppercuts for the ducking Ward too) along with body shots and he's more flexible with his head movement.

This is all considering if Ward can ever get back into prime form. Seems like we'll never see him fight a decent opponent again to get the ball rolling, feels like he'll be fighting tune-ups the rest of his very short career.

True the media has been pushing for a Kovalev-Ward fight, but the media as of now have is criticizing Ward for not fighting quality opponents as well as his inactivity. I don't think the media and boxing fans would not mind a DeGale vs Ward fight if it ended up being Ward's last fight at SMW. Of course the reality is, Ward had no intention of fighting DeGale.

Bull****, every asshat and his dog would be saying Ward ducked Kovalev.

                    3) Didn't know that Groves had been offered that fight recently. If that is true, props to Degale. No idea why Groves wouldn't take that fight, it seems like a perfect opportunity for him.

                      NOT Golovkin..... clearly obvious

Yea, good point. Brand was short-notice, I am hoping they take the opportunity to land a better opponent, preferably a LHW.
