As for Canelo and Cotto not being middleweights, they both fight over 154 and Cotto is supposedly the middleweight lineal champion so that comment is also completely nonsensical. I'll ask again, can you name one opponent Cotto or Canelo has faced (win or lose) that the current GGG wouldn't stop?
I think he's linked to fighters at 68 because when he first started getting a push in the US, he claimed to be willing to fight anyone from 54-68. Until Andre Ward pulled his card. Which coincidentally coincided with winning a bunch of belts at 60 become the boy's priority. He's linked to fighters at 68 because he was in negotiations to fight Chavez Jr, at 68. He's linked to fighters at 68 because talks are supposedly taking place for him to fight Froch next, at 68.

Your hypocrisy is funny. You're able to process and accurately articulate that while GGG is capable of fighting, and possibly being successful as a super middleweight, he's a natural middleweight. Yet, you're not able to do the same for Cotto and Canelo being able to compete, and maybe have success at middleweight, while being natural jr middleweights.

I see differently. I don't see his stamina as his weakness. I see his lack of inside game and defense as his weaknesses and maybe that he can't fight on the backfoot back up in a straight line.
GGG can defend well when he needs to and is actually a good inside fighter. A lot of people don't pick up on that because, like his outside game, GGG's inside game is completely focused on one thing only - getting the right distance between himself and his opponents to hit them with hard punches.

Who's a bigger fish than GGG? Ah whatever, won't matter once Canelo exposes Cotto.

Please stop mentioning Ward in GGG threads. Andre doesn't want to fight him, that's as plain as the nose on your face.

The reason is not because he's scared, but that, like Sanchez, Ward knows their isn't enough money in that match for it to be worth making.

You can try to sound as intelligent as you like but simply put, GGG beats Canelo and Cotto. Similarly, Ward most likely beats GGG, albeit by decision. The difference is that Golovkin campaigns in the same division as both Canelo and Cotto and has never competed as a super middleweight. Firstly, try processing that. Secondly process the Ring Magazine and WBC ratings, which have Cotto as the middleweight champion. And finally, process the Ring Magazine super middleweight ratings, which don't have Golovkin included.

No disrespect, but as you evolve as a fight fan, you'll kinda start to shed that boxrec mentality you currently follow the sport through. You'll be able to follow the sport through the rational of what your eyes and common sense tell you. As opposed to what rankings and ratings tell you.

But that's mean that he doesn't actually fights on the inside but try to maintain the distance which is good for him. That doesn't mean that if someone still get inside with him he is good in that distance.
Every time when Golovkin forced to fight on the middle of the ring or to fight inside, instead his favourite position when he can force his opponent to the ropes/corner and he can go on a steam; he looks half of the fighter he is on his favourite position. However he is good at force the opponent to fight his fight in his range and this is why these flaws didn't backfire on him yet.

GGG deserves a shot at that title no doubt. Although i like GGG and i believe hes the best candidate of unifying 160, im not of the mindset that he can go up to 68 and knock frochs head off
GGG-canelo-cotto, this is just one of those situations. Canelo-cotto is a big $$ fight and you cant really fault Cotto for going the $$ route-ppl want that fight. However i do have a problem with it being for the MW crown, its just as big without it honestly.

GGG should focus on the WBO, IBF for the time being and deny the step aside deal

Evolve as a fight fan?! Get over yourself.

Cotto is the MW champion and fights there whether he's a natural MW or not. Golovkin is NOT a SMW champion.

You're trying to create the illusion of Golovkin being some monstrous MW when in fact he could and would make 154 himself if required. Unfortunately the same can't be said for Andre fighting at 160, nor can it be claimed he's willing to move up to 175 as shown with the Dawson fight.
