Roach has definitely seen better days as a coach. (eg- circa 2005)

GGG isn't the biggest fish. In his weight range, let's say 54-68, he has by far te weakest resume among the top names and fighters. Ward, Froch, Cotto, Canelo, and to an extent Lara are all more accomplished. Plus financially, Cotto-Nelo is a bigger fight than GGG against either.

His weight is 160 not 168. Cotto and Canelo both fight at 160 albeit as catchweight kings. Cotto and Canelo have no better resume at 160 than GGG but it's all irrelevant anyway - how can you say someone has a poor resume when every elite fighter at his weight is petrified of fighting him?!

I love Golovkin a lot, but his hardcore fans are starting to remind me of Margarito fans from 2007-08. Like he has no flaws and he's a Terminator with a granite chin. lol.

Can you name one fighter Cotto or Canelo has faced (win or lose) that the current GGG wouldn't stop?

              This will be MONUMENTAL !!!

I disagree with all of what Roach said.

Roach is one of the greatest boxing coaches to have ever lived. Dundee was the greatest.

that doesn't matter right now,,, after GGG destroyed some guys and talk was up about Cotto , Roach shied away from talking about GGG vs Cotto.

GGG won't take shots from Cotto like he did with Willie boy, he will get KO'd if he did but he will stop Cottos feet, the shots from GGG will land and begin to devastate Cotto, then COTTO will remember MARGO and PAC,,,,taking a knee will sound mighty good in Cotto's ear, he will be thinking if he can, that he has a family, and plenty of money, is this WORTH IT ????????????

              Roach ALREADY KNOWS THIS !!!!!!!!!!!

Still love good old Roach, he's a GREAT trainer, you can depend on his fighters fighting not running, you can depend on them being in shape. He has a great eye for a great fighter.

I watched him when GGG fought Willie to get his reaction, that dang Parkinsons won't allow it very much.

Cotto Canelo GGG and May Jr is for us like Duran Hearns Leonard and Hagler was for us.

Those guys need to prove they can do fights as good as yesteryear.

Maybe you missed the word "range." Either way, GGG has expressed a willingness to fight certain folk at 68, therefore he's made himself a part of the landscape there by virtue of his mouth

As for Cotto and Nelo being middleweights, they're not. But that's all in the eye of the beholder. Regardless of whether you see them as jr middleweights or middleweights, they're in GGG's weight range.

As for all the "elite" guys being petrified of GGG. Personally, IMO the on ELITE fighter in GGG's weight range is Andre Ward. And I highly doubt he's petrified of Gennady. GGG has done well in his division. Geale, Murray, Rubio, Macklin. Those are all good fighters within the confines of the middleweight division. Unfortunately for Gennady, he fights in a very weak division. Therefore his resume isn't very impressive.

Cotto spent the majority of his career at jr welterweight and welterweight. So that ain't saying much.

As for Canelo, he's fought welterweights and jr middleweights his entire career. Ain't saying much there either.

Golovkin makes 160 comfortably so all your talk of range is nonsense. He's linked to 168lb fighters as no one a 160 will fight him but he's certainly no super middleweight - he could probably make 154. As for Canelo and Cotto not being middleweights, they both fight over 154 and Cotto is supposedly the middleweight lineal champion so that comment is also completely nonsensical. I'll ask again, can you name one opponent Cotto or Canelo has faced (win or lose) that the current GGG wouldn't stop?

So how exactly do they have better resumes at middleweight then? They both fight there!
