Well, to be fair to Broner: I'm not really counting "self-hype."

Provo got a lot of hype after the Bradley fight, even though he lost, it was impressive what he did to Timmy. The kid definitely has power, but his stamina is pretty bad. Broner... IDK, nothing about him really impresses me.

That said, I'd really love to see these two go at it!

Boxing fans, alike. In particular his fan base. You can vote "no" if you disagree.

Nobody was suggesting that Ruslan Provodnikov was the future of boxing.
Wow, I didn't even realize that at the time.

Having fans doesn't make you a hype job if you stay within the confines of reality of their capabilities. And their current value.

Ultimately, if that's how you feel then so be it. I guess you won't be further participating in the thread? Since it holds no merit to you, personally?

Both are hype jobs to a certain extent

Provodnikov is painted as a ferocious power puncher..which he his. He's a good professional boxer in his own right. Great chin, Great power, decent ring fundamentals, loves to **** it out in the middle of the ring. Broner much like provo is great and some areas and lacking in the other. For one he is too small for welterwieght (at least for a flat footed fighter that is), has a decent chin, good heart, great ring fundamentals, and decent power. His style doesn't emulate the style he so very much likes to portray (Floyd Mayweather). I would say his longevity as a boxer will be cut short because of his toe to toe, pot shotting, steel footed style.

yes. provo never received a tenth of the hype broner did receive from the media who were calling him the heir to floyd's throne

Lol man Broner without a doubt is the bigger hype job!

At least he was... Lol he ain't no more - everybody now knows he's a bum. LOL..

Provo is what he is - a tough guy who has the chance to knock anybody out, but more than lkely will be outboxed by the best.

Broner is a bum who can barely get by journeymen!

Hahaha are we even havng ths conversation?
