No announcement yet.
Why was Golovkin willing to move up to 168 for Chavez Jr but not for Andre Ward?

Ward is doing fine, if they both retired today Ward would be the more remembered fighter as one of the ATG at 168 who beat the best of his era. Golovkin would be remembered as a world class fighter who was heavily hyped by HBO beating c/d level fighters.
its okay... we know you'll continue to tune into Golovkin fights hoping he loses.

Neither of them are b1tches. They're both just following the money. Fanboys from both sides need to stop bickering and making yourselves look ******.
The only stipulation is that Adonis gets the same in return of a rematch at 175lbs, why else would he refuse it?
Does Ward not want a big marquee name on his record or does he not?
Its rich for you to call anyone a fanboy when you've got an Arsenal player on your display on a boxing forum...
Ward wants all the stipulation in his favour which he will not get because he has not earned the right to make shots like that.

The key difference as already mentioned is that Ward wasn't on the verge of securing a fight against another fighter at 175 while acting strange when asked about Kovalev.
Example: Ward and Pascal are set to agree to fight at 175 lbs, in Canada. Fight get cancelled..... Ward is asked about a possible Kovalev fight but then goes on to fight a random contender at 168.
That's basically what Golovkin did after Chavez, this is my main problem.

There's no difference. Golovkin doesn't want to fight Ward because the reward doesn't match the risk and there's more money at 160 and below.

"seems strange" what's actually strange is the fact Andre ward is almost non existent as an active fighter. Why is he being mentioned? why does he remain relevant? I guarantee you its more about andre ward and his own problems than GGG
