Difference is he at least already fought Ward and he doesn't say never anyways. If he makes his scratch and beats Jr. Or whoever no reason Ward II couldn't happen when Ward is viable again. That fight isn't possible right now anyways.

Ward is the lineal champ until someone beats him or he retires or vacates. Ain't no path to 1 that doesn't include beating Ward first.

If Froch keeps fighting and never faces Ward again, that should count against him but his overall resume is so deep it won't matter much. Just validates the Ward loss in a way most would assume anyways and rightly so.

You need to be more specific with who you're referring to.

I defend Froch and Sergio for their decisions but neither of them are fighting guys like Forfarna. That's why I don't defend Stevenson.

You defend Stevenson like your life depended on it but whenever it's Froch, you always throw in this little caveat.

And that's my beef with these clowns on here. There's no consistency to their stances. Personally, I don't even have much interest in a Ward-Froch rematch. Outside of watching Froch get his ass kicked. But right now, they're the top guys in the division. There's no one currently in the division that's a threat to either. And both have made it clear they have no interest in moving up. So under the circumstances, that's the only fight at 68 that matters unless the Martinez-Cotto winner or GGG wants to move up to challenge one of those guys. And to me its lame as hell to applaud Froch for ducking the biggest fight in his division. Especially when you b1tch about others doing the same. Hell, the ones they b1tch about aren't even blatantly ducking like Froch is.

The difference is Froch already fought Ward - in the US. He didn't duck the fight, he flew 3,000+ miles to make it happen.

We might never see Stevenson v Kovalev, Martinez v Golovkin and Mayweather v Pacquiao and we know who's to blame in each case.

Froch fought everyone, and most of them away from home.
