Ward is currently on a path to irrelevance, due to outside problems.

He needs to sort these promotional issues asap and get back in the ring. People barely watched him as it was, extended time off won't help.

At this stage with Carl nearing the very end, Ward brings nothing to the table for him.

For what? the fight wasn't epic with solid back and forth action. Froch wasn't ahead and got caught with something out of the blue. He took a solid trouncing and knows he can't win. Which is why he doesn't want to give Ward an easy paycheck off of his name.

A better comparison to any you've given is say there are 2 2nd graders, ones a bully and the other stood up to the bully got whooped and moved on, meanwhile the bully continues to chase his victim and keeps telling the victim to come to his backyard to beat him up again. That's just lame. Being a warrior does not involve kamikaze rules.

LOL!!!! Now fighting Ward is s suicide mission. At the end of the day, Froch should want to avenge the loss. He's in a no lose situation. If he loses, no big deal. Everyone would would expect him to and he loses none of his status. If he catches lightening in a bottle and wins, his stock goes through the roof.

Ahhhhh haaa. Now by your OWN ADMITTANCE this scenario would warrant a rematch. Yet, when I said the SAMETHING about Khan-Garcia rematch, you tried to tear it down. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Look at facts, Ward vs Froch 1, stateside had 2k in venue Atlantic City FACT.

Froch since then: Lucian Bute 10k, Yusaf Mack 15k, Mikkel Kessler 20k, Groves 20k, Groves 2 80k... Thats bums on seats, not even UK Sky Sports PPV money.

We all know the outcome of Ward Froch if they fought again, only way to make fight viable is if Ward dusts of his passport...

Is Ward even near worth PPV money?

What Froch has to lose are his titles and the chance of another huge pay cheque. And at the age of 37, he knows that if he blows that chance by losing to Ward for comparative peanuts, it won't come round again.
Like I keep saying, if Ward would fight Froch in the UK, where the money would justify the risk, from Froch's point of view, the fight would happen.
Froch is not ducking Ward. What he's doing is saying to Ward the same thing Ward said to him after Carl beat Bute: "If you want me, you know where I am."
