It depends on how he lost. Manny was outclassed by Marquez yet it didnt take away from manny being a great fighter. It depends on how he loses.

The smart money is on Floyd taking a decision, but expect Cotto to cause him a few problems along the way.
Cotto needs good game plans and a varied ones, cannot just rely on 1 and cannot rely one way of fighting.
The jab will be key and Cotto's movement.

Hahahahahahahahahaha you bash Floyd's pick of Cotto, saying he's not what he once was, but just a couple weeks ago you were saying "Pac-Cotto II at 147, shoudl be a great fight".
You are the epitome of a bias and moronic poster on NSB.
I have said from day 1 that May or Pac vs. Cotto at 154 is a B+ fight.
Cotto is past his prime-still good. Pretty much the same guy he was in 09' when he fought Manny, only at 154. Manny gets more props for beating Cotto first, but Floyd still gets his due for this win. Same thing with Hatton, only vice-versa.
Show me where Cotto is so much better in 2009 than he was in 2011......Cotto will never be prime again like he was in 07-08, but he's still good.
And it's sad on both ends that we have bias Floyd haters takling s**t about anything and everything he does, as well as bias Manny haters talking s**t about anything he does.
But, you trash what Floyd has done lately, but then you always are on here saying Manny has done so many great things lately.
Bradley is Pac's first prime opponent since Solis, and Jorge couldn't carry Tim's jock strap. Bradley is Pac's best opponent selection since Marquez in 08'. Bradley is also Pac's first really legit fight since Cotto in 09'.
It will be interesting to see both of these fights, because it's important for Floyd to get Cotto on his resume while he is still good and it's important Pac actually takes a fight now that is really legit.
How people say that since Floyd's return he hasn't taken legit fights.....it's beyond me. Yes, when Marquez at 144 was made, I called it a C-/C fight. But, given than JMM arguably just beat Manny at the same weight, one has to look back now and say "Well, Floyd dominated JMM at a weight he may have just beaten Manny at". Mosley was a B fight. Yes, Shane was past it and it showed, but that doesn't take away from the fact it was when Pac was refusing to fight Mosley at anything other than 142 lbs, and after Shane had just KO'd Mayorga and Margarito, and looked pretty solid. And now people want to say Victor Ortiz was a crap fight, even though he was coming off 5 straight wins and a draw he should have won over Peterson. And he put himself at the #3 rated WW after beating Berto and winning a title.
Meanwhile, Manny fought Clottey (hadn't won a fight in 2 years), Margarito at 150 (just KO'd by Mosley), Mosley (dominated by Floyd and arguably lost to Mora), and Marquez at 144 (where he'd already been shutout by Floyd). But still, people want to say Floyd did nothing and Manny did all these great things.
Manny gets full props for his wins over Cotto and Hatton, his last 2 really legit wins and fights. And should he beat Bradley, it ranks up equal to Floyd beating Ricky Hatton when he did, because it's basically the same thing when you break it down.
So, bias and bulls**t posters like this are exactly what's wrong with NSB.

Cotto is just below an ATG to me, he needs another really big win on his career to me.
