Comments Thread For: Cotto: Margarito Bout is Speculation, Until We Get a Deal

WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto says there is nothing to discuss in relation to a possible rematch with Antonio Margarito on December 3 at New York's Madison Square Garden. Margarito gave Cotto his first professional loss with a TKO in eleven in 2008. Cotto doesn't expect anything to take place until he sits down with his promoter, Top Rank, and reviews the terms for the rematch, and the two sides reach an agreement. Top Rank has set aside December 3 for the rematch and Margarito has verbally agreed to the fight.

Arum is a ***ing liar. Cotto has to make sure he gets his millions set before anything. Cotto always being business minded/great example of how young boxers should carry themselves.

What was he talking about Chavez? all he said was that his victory didnt impress him.. is that so bad? I dont think his victory impressed anyone outside of his camp. Cotto is spoeaking like a business man here nada de miedo.. Its fact until contracts are signed, all talk is speculation.

Ever since Cotto arrived at the 147 weight class, he's fought nothing but the best: Judah, Mosley, Margarito, Clottey, and Pacquiao. However, he seems to be very uninterested in fighting a live dog at 154. It's obvious that he's at the end of his career and wants to cash out; and in all honesty, I can't hold it against him. I would love, however, if he would fight another 154 lbs. champion. Just to solidify himself as a real 154 pounder!

no he said he wants to fight Chavez if he wins for his title to be the only boricua to win titles in diffrent weight classes. he also said he will be at ringside, he also said he would fight the winner of the 2 Zbik or Chavez. Now he is pulling this sht sayin that he will not say anything about fighting Margarito until he gets a legit offer, cmon Cotto
