At least those fighter when you put in your list has the chance of beating Pac and these above shot fighters and will bring money on the fight. Take note: ypu can't put those retired or in vacation in your list.
I had no problems with Hatton or Cotto. In fact, those were solid opponents for Pacquiao. Hatton not so much but certainly Cotto. A quality match-up on paper and in the ring. I rate that win very, very high on Pac's resume. But for Clottey he should've and could fought Floyd Mayweather. Disgraceful. He could've fought anyone but Margarito, who was the last person on Earth that deserved a shot. And I'd be much more excited about Pacquiao-Berto at 147, Pacquiao-Martinez at 154 and Pacquiao-Bradley at 140 than I would Pacquiao versus "insert latest undeserving opponent here."

hatton, cotto, clottey, and margarito fights are much better than going on vacation and fighting a security guard and the mother of your kids!

Hatton: No complaints. Anyone who doesn't agree, I'd like hear who they think would have been a better opponent at the moment.

Cotto: Great opponent, but a fight and win over Mosley at the time would have met much more for Pac's resume.

Clottey: Of course Floyd, but Clottey was actually a good last minute replacement on paper.

Margarito: Williams, Marquez, Bradley, or even Berto

Mosley: See above, but leave out Williams for this one.

Fighting Cotto at 145 for a belt that Cotto won vacant at 147 killed it for me. I can't see that as a big win. Mosley at 147 for the WBA title that he won by beating Margarito would have been better. But I understand Roach said Mosley is too good and didn't want to fight him, which is just being honest I guess, something *******s can't do.

Clottey was not a last minute replacement. It was a fight that Clottey had confirmed a while before for the Cowboys Stadium. Like Margarito before Pac-Clottey, was already saying that Arum told him he's going to fight Pacquiao next in November at Cowboys Stadium. All of these fights were all planned, Arum hasn't had any intentions of making Mayweather-Pacquiao since the first negotiations.

              135 : Pernell Whitaker
              140 : Aaron Pryor
              147 : SRR

Pac keeps taking them easy fights..

Instead of Cotto at 145? That was a good fight as well, it would have been better at 147. A fight against Mosley would have been better though. But, it wasn't bad regardless.

Instead of Clottey? After the strong 2008-2009 run a Clottey fight wasn't that bad to open up 2010. However, a fight against Bradley and P-Will would have been better.

Instead of Marg? A fight against P-Will anywhere from 147-154 would have been much better.

Instead of Mosley? A fight against Bradly or Berto would have been much better.

And, you know that Pac didn't win a title in his first fight at 126, 130, or 147 right? You were wrong in the thread you created last night.
I was wrong and stand to be corrected. I'm just merely asking and did not stated it as a fact. Now back to the topic. To sum it up. IMO, after Pac fought Hatton, Cotto, Clottey and Marg with total domination one sided affair. Pac has the chance of beating all these current fighters between 140-147.

Yea but the Marg fight is not something to brag about.

Mosley at that time would've been better but it was still a solid win for Manny. I wasn't convinced he could beat a full-fledged welter as formidable as Cotto. And Cotto may not have been what he once was but he wasn't far removed at all. Manny nearly stopped him in four rounds and ended up destroying him. I rate that very highly. Since that fight his opposition has been mind-numbingly bad. Fights like these don't deserve to be on PPV unless you're the type to pay to see Manny do anything.
