Why is it that Cotto and Margarito get called warriors?

How about Clottey....he had a gash that required over 20 stitches from the 3rd round on and could've bowed out at any time but fought the full 12 rounds and found a way to win.
This is a little ridiculous.

Floyd made Hatton jump up a weight class when he was the lineal champ at 140.
Floyd doesn't like to trade. He fights scared in every fight. He pot shots, clinches and gets on his bicycle every fight. He is the complete opposite of a warrior, hes a ****ing pu$$y
With regards to Floyd making Hatton jump up, didn't Floyd start off at 130 though? And isn't it easier to put on weight than lose it ..
He fights scared as you say but wins, not sure how that works out but ok hmmm

Don't get me wrong Marg and Cotto are good fighters. However...
... I'm still waiting for the day Cotto wins a belt at middleweight, and Margarito wins a belt at super middleweight.
SMH.

Margarito's a warrior for taking Mosley's punches and getting knocked out.
Mayweather's not a warrior for taking Mosley's punches and beating him up.

From 130 - 140 Floyd was more than capable to battle it out, and dish out as much as he was given. It's also when the majority state he was throwing combinations, and the more exciting fighter.
However, beyond that has become more defensive which I can understand, due to the fact it's more difficult to take a punch. Now I'm asking, how come Margarito and Cotto, are called warriors for taking on opponents equal in size? Yet, Floyd is not, when he's taking on opponents bigger than him. Isn't it slightly biased.
The term warrior has a very specific meaning in a boxing sense. It's generally applied to somebody who's willing to "go to war" in the ring. It's not a catch-all phrase for guys who move up in weight, fight bigger guys, etc. It's reserved for those who show a willingness to stand there and trade. Floyd is a sublimely skilled boxer, not a warrior.
