I doubt Floyd is gonna run, cuz he just said he was gonna walk Cotto down like he walks down everyone else...and I dont think its too much of a leftover, cuz Floyd will fight him at 54'///last time Floyd fought at that weight, he ended up at 147 on fight night, came in the ring with no power, no speed...this fight intrigues me, cuz Im curious to see how much Floyd has grown into his body and this will be waayyy tougher than the oscar fight, which was one of Floyd's bad fights...Floyd is bigger, stronger, and better now...so Its a very interesting fight my bro...lets just enjoy it cuz its WAAYY better than canelo, and guerrero..lol

Miguel has stepped away from his old style and is very much a boxer now, that's not going to work against Mayweather. If he tries to box then he's going to be getting smacked with counters all night.

The jab will still be a key punch as it off-set's a lot of things and has good snap on it, but he's going to have to push the fight and try and be the bully at times. The concern there is Mayweather's accuracy is the best in the business and he will catch you as you come in. It's a really difficult match-up for Miguel in all honesty, but fighting the best fighter in the world would be a hard match-up for anyone so...

I find it surprising how many people are asking Cotto to pressure..that's walking right in to the trap..Cotto doesn't have the output, strength or speed advantage to effectively back Mayweather up..

Cotto's gotta rely heavily on a solid jab..and even some lead rights from time to time..but from rounds 1-6 he's gotta get mid-range and punch the hell out of his body and shoulders..land combinations purposely on his arms..Cotto can not and SHOULD NOT look for anything above the neck..his primary target needs to be any and everything between the shoulders and waistline..after round 6..if Cotto has survived to this point he needs to begin circling and jabbing still with more combinations targeting the chest and chin area..and hope he can catch May with something solid..

I pretty much see a 10-2 blowout in Mayweathers favor..but I'm excited as ever..this has been my dream fight for years and finally..its here!!..I just hope Cotto makes the best of this opportunity

Lets be real, after 3 or 4 rounds Floyd will counter over Cotto's jab with the right hand all night. He's so fast with it, but most importantly Floyd's insanely long. I actually think that's one of his most important attributes.

I'm pretty sure that Floyd made a mistake anytime he fights anyone other than Pacquiao. Even if the Pacquiao fight ever happens he'll get bashed after he beats him. Everyone has a list of people that hes supposedly scared to fight, but then when he signs to fight them people still bash him. That seems to be the pattern.

You mean like when Mayweather dominated JMM and Pacquaio lost to him? Like that?

True..but Cotto does have the best jab since DLH as far as Mayweathers opponents are concerned..he may have some success with it..

But if Cotto doesnt apply pressure I cant see him having success at a distance.

I dont think anyones saying he should go in there wrecklessly putting all eggs into one basket but to apply educated pressure like he used to in the pre Marg 1 days. If he tries to box Floyd he surley gets outboxed at range?

Right but like with DLH....Oscar didn't just decide to stop throwing it, he started getting countered. The same thing will happen with Cotto. He'll have some success with it early but Floyd will time it and take the jab right out of Cotto's arsenal.
