SO WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE (i.e. Boxing writers that are incredibly bias to Mayweather, former associates or trainers which don't have any shred of evidence, etc) YOU ARE INSINUATING, AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN, that Pacquiao is on something!!!! Most people (and rightly so) feel that the sports of boxing . . needs to update its testing standards. And that it needs to be vetted out in the proper forum (boxing commission, sports medical experts, etc .. together - discussing and agreeing and yes, eventually setting up better testing protocols). So, its good to see boxing writers/experts that throw some critical comments . . we like that intelligent discussions . . but, when BIAS people/PEOPLE with AGENDAs continue to INSINUATE THAT PACQUIAO HAS TO DO THIS . . THAT THERE ARE NO GOOD CHOICES for opponents (i.e. what do you mean no other choice, there are several good opponents that have already raise their hands in wanting to fight Pacquiao.) Further, the guy just got elected to the Philippine Congress . . and that will occupy his time as well (not to mention his numerous businesses . . and even worthy charity and non-profit organizations that he is supporting). AND THESE (seeming PONTIFICATORS) CLAIM HE HAS NO CHOICE? the guy has plenty of choices . . too many in fact, inside and MORE IMPORTANTLY OUTSIDE THE RING.

BOTTOM LINE, these warriors (Pacquiao and Mayweather) need to settle the score INSIDE the ring - - and while we await the negotiations, RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE (i.e. writers, fans) should refrain from making so many "bellow the jabs" . . from time to time . . about PED insinuation. The boxing public already has read a lot of columns about this . . and not sure, why the constant revisiting will ACTUALLY HELP THE FIGHT BECOME A REALITY.

Definitely, its an important aspect in the negotiation, however we should allow the Pacquiao and Mayweather camp to have good deliberations (i.e. don't need the circus get overblown by the media). Its not going to be easy to firm up the fight given the various demands & large egos . . however, media and the fans, are better off providing ENCOURAGING COMMENTS (i.e. the commonalities that bring them together . . rather, than rub off constantly the cuts and bruises that will undermine this "once-in-a-lifetime event from happening"

What do you say? . .
what do you say???? well i say this is actually a very good post. but in any arena we joust about the if ands whats or mabys. we love to talk trash about boxing thats why we are on the scene at 700am talking trash about boxing. because we love it and there many people that we actually influence with our opinions. we talk trash from all over the world. and every one has an angle thats what makes this site the best. if we all thought the same how much fun would that be?

No need to go to the NSAC and make it a big deal because Floyd already agreed to it...

hanson7 I have been a Mayweather fan since the 90s and you summed it up great. I've been thinking the same thing but never voiced my opinion on this matter. I co-sign every word you just said. The fans of both fighters need to be quiet about this matter until the fight is signed sealed and delivered!!!

then there would have been no need to go to the NSAC if pac had agreed to take the ost with the 14 day cut off. if its fair for one its fair for all. my point is dont tell me about the NSAC when you put items in your part of the contract that circumvents the NSAC. you cant have it both ways. you either follow the rules of the NSAC or you customize the contract so everyone is happy. fair is fair.

Ouch, can you dig the knife any deeper?!?!

Like I've been saying, Boxing fans/haters/insiders wont be so forgiving of Pac if he walks/ducks/hides/runs away this time around.

Funny thing is, when and if this fight gets made. I bet Mayweather is favored and I'll be wondering where the hell everyone went.

Okay, just to satisfy your thoughts. Let say IF Pac was roiding with HOYA, Hatton & Cotto fights, why does Floyd not fight the same roided Pac other than he is scared?

What is the point of fighting a non roided Pac (if he is really on ROIDs that makes Pac beat his latest previuos opponent). Is it not a cherry picking a nobody PAC (not on ROID)?

The point of a non-roided Pac is that he's not cheating. Hoya, Hatton and Cotto all lost and took a lot of punishment. If Pac was on steroids for those fights he should be hung. Of course Floyd wouldn't want to fight a cheater and you're asking what's the point of beating up a non-roided Pac? Wow...I mean...WOW!!!!

What can we do if Pac really believes that this Floyd asking the USADA testing is part of a mind game/ bullying / harassment/ conspiracy or whatever he think it is. But don't forget that he will compromise the 24 days window to take the test OR if it will be required by the proper governing body. That is why, in my thought, Floyd should pressure the NSAC to impose the USADA style testing to the fight if he really wants it.

Don't be too surprised by a *******'s mouth because most of them speaks the same and thinks the same. The dude want Mayweather to fight a person who might be on something. I think it's delirious but at the same time I understand where the thought is coming from. (A non-boxing fan) which in terms mean a Pacquiao fan. Not dissing all Pacquiao fans but most are non-boxing fans because they talk the language...
