I guess that's why very few give him the credit he is due, because he hasn't been forced to rise above an evenly matched opponent, wouldn't say it's his fault, just not anyone that can step to his skill & conditioning.
One would say it should have been Mosley but Mosley didn't want to fight him back in the day. Then you have Cotto but Cotto is from Top Rank and plus he has not look so good vs top opposition so imagine how he would look against Mayweather.
