Say what you will about Sasaki, but Norman did what he was supposed to do and looked spectacular in the process. I think he has a good chance to dominate at 147. He also looks big at 147 and, at only 24, could probably move up to 154 at some point. As if 154 needed more talent these days.

Sasaki had minor success when going to the body, I wonder if boots noticed, but boots has a history of avoiding smoke, make this fight happen immediately.

Boots moving up could be a blessing in disguise for Norman. He could become undisputed at 147 easily while the weight class is light in talent. Once he’s done that move up to 154 and make whatever fight he wants honestly and have way more leverage. He just made himself a lot of money and won himself a lot of bargaining power moving forward.

I think we're gonna see a lot of influx at 147 now that Boots is moving up... Haney, Teo, Catteral will likely be moving into WW. Teo could enforce mandatory status against Norman I beleive.

Great performance from Norman. And Sasaki's bravado wasn't false, he was just outgunned and outskilled. He never gave up though.

It's obvious that in not taking the Ennis bout, they're still building up Norman. I do get it since he's young, but this kind of guarded approach that you see now didn't exist a couple of decades ago. It's a bummer.

Btw, jap is a racist slur, folks should be more respectful of Japanese people here, their boxers have a fighting Spirit that I am sure the racial slur using person here doesn't have. It's childish and pathetic.

If you believe TeoFEMALE Lopez wants to fight Norman Jr., I have some beachfront property in Wyoming to sell you. None of the guys you named were/are moving up to 147 for smoke with Norman Jr. or Boots.

It was not for 154 belt. Correct the title.

How is “Jap” a racial slur when all it is an abbreviation of “Japanese”? It’s like saying calling someone a “Brit” is racist.
