Congratulations to Eduardo Nunez, who fulfilled his promise to his brother who had passed on in 2024.

Hoping that Eddie Hearn gets Eduardo Nunez a homecoming fight opportunity against Anthony Cacace. Nunez had fought both Rakhimov and Rikiishi in their home advantage. Hearn certainly afforded it for the rest of his featherweights (Cordina, Warrington and Wood).

Entertaining fight. Rikiishi started out well in the first 4 rounds, but Nunez just kept forcing him to engage and it became overwhelming. Rikiishi was in danger for the entirety of round 10 after Nunez stunned him with the first punch he threw. I was impressed with Nunez's endurance/stamina. He only started fatiguing in round 11 after trying to get the 10th round stoppage.

I think that's going to be easier said than done. Cacace wouldn't face Nunez in the UK, nevermind in Mexico. Matchroom is primarily UK, so it wasn't difficult to get their titlists home-town fights. Also, guys like Warrington had already cultivated a fanbase.

Hearn is going to immediately throw him in there with Raymond Ford.

If not in Mexico, at least in Las Vegas or in a 5 matchroom promotions vs 5 queensberry promotions. think it is a pretty enticing fight, Cacace was formerly the IBF champion having vacated and still being ranked there at Super Featherweight, he is still undefeated and I think as Eduardo Nunez has who been fighting rangy southpaw fighters at the division the last two years. Is probably the most experienced man for the job against Cacace. Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov (5 ft 8+1⁄2 in), and Masanori Rikiishi (5 ft 9.5 in).

Interesting fight, as Nunez is a boxer puncher like Edward Vazquez that can pressure, and ring cut like Nick Ball.

Still a tough and entertaining fight but not sure if it is as enticing as it is with Cacace who denied Nunez his opportunities and vacated the belt to avoid Nunez to fight Wood. Now it seems like he is willing as he is calling him out in media like X and Instagram.

...which is a great match-up. Ford is speedy, but can get dragged into a firefight. If Nunez could force someone with Rikiishi's height/reach to engage, I'm pretty sure Ford will be forced to as well.

Personally, I would love to see Nunez vs. Navarrete. But I know it won't happen.

Ford has considerably better footwork than Rikiishi. I think the entire fight with Ford would look like the first three rounds last night, with Nunez chasing his opponent and walking face first into punches.

Give Ford a 20 foot ring and he'll stink out place.
