I don’t think it will but I hope it does. If Marcus Browne beats Bivol then I think it makes sense for Canelo

by the way he is out there in the public promoting the fight and talking up the fighters,id say it doesnt and he doesnt seem to care.

not like anyone will ask him to speak on it, or that he'd follow thru on that anyway

I think Canelo is smart enough to be in bed with everyone and never be tied to a network or cokehead agai

Lmfao @ seriously thinking only 10% of PPV and ticket sales for major boxing matches come from white people too.
ou're right. More than 10% of PPV revenue does come from whites, ETHNIC whites(Italian Irish Russian Polish Americans). That's why I said SUBURBAN/RURAL a.k.a MAGA whites. They do not pay attention to boxing for the most part. I live, work and hang around blacks all day and I'm telling you boxing is virtually non existent in that community. I also live and work around El Salvadorian Americans and they barely pay attention either. There are not nearly as many X-over fans as you think. Most MAGA whites don't like boxing because they hate seeing non whites winning. Of course I'm being facetious when I say all whites dont watch boxing, just like 95% of them don't!

No talk or writing about promoters ever makes me feel good. It only creates negative feelings. I will instead take my medicine and pay $80 and enjoy the fight!

I know tons of none whites that watch and compete in MMA, and tons of whites that watch boxing (lol @ "ethnic" whites too). Theres multiple people on this very forum bringing up that UFC card and talking about watching it, meanwhile on MMA forums you will see plenty of boxing discussion. Sherdogs boxing sub forum is almost as active as this place for ****s sake. Lol @ those two sports existing in a bubble where one is for "blacks and browns" and one is for "MAGA suburban whites"

Thats odd considering two thirds of the UFCs current champs arent white and boxing has more high profile white champs and white fighters ranked in the p4p top 10 than MMA does right now. Pretty sure Canelo/Plant is a white dude vs a white dude too, or dont they count because one speaks Spanish and one acts black?

Anyway, the point is, yes there is plenty of crossover, so for them to bring in the biggest (and most expensive) name in boxing, spend something like $50m for the Plant fight, which is arguably the biggest boxing match of the year, then give it a ****ing trash undercard, put it on PPV and try to go head to head with one of the most stacked UFC cards of the year....is pretty ****ing dumb, and its likely to burn this fight a lot more than it burns the UFC.

What Gamble? Haymon is a very smart man he not using his own money he "PLAYING WITH HOUSE MONEY" people act as if he is taking his own money and spending it on these Boxing Events...HELL NO!

Showtime won the rights to this fight OVER FOX and is likely putting the Bulk of Money up for this as well so yeah I get it some people absolute despise a Man they don't know and never heard Speak but clearly he knows WTF he is doing.

As for the success of this PPV, no I don't think it will do big numbers going head to head with a stacked UFC Event but it will do Respectable Numbers. Credit to Showtime, the Pre Fight/All Access content been Great for this fight and they ran Promos for this fight on CBS for the last couple of Weeks during College Football and NFL Games

Golovkin rallied in the second half of the Canelo rematch and he had Canelo hurt in the 10th round. Now if you wanna say that he didn’t go to the body then I agree, because he didn’t wanna leave himself open to counters.
