The things I said, I believed prior to the fight and they won't change now. He did lose to a prime Morales. He did have controversial decisions against JMM. He hasn't fought any top guys at 147 - and never will. He did fight a defenceless Ricky who was tailor made for him.
Anything I missed?
To make this clear, I don't blame Manny for this, but Roach and Arum.Last edited by nasty101; 05-13-2009, 06:24 AM.

He's resume is not way better then Floyd's like these guys are trying to make it out to be. Thats why I get upset. Its misleading to people who are on the outside

i think manny's is better.
floyd guys want to make it seem like floyd's resume is superior and only non-boxing fans or people not knowledgable about the sport thinks manny's is better.
it's not true.
plenty of the so-called boxing experts thinks that as well. that's what you guys don't like.

Merchants always had a problem with Floyd, he don't like his attitude and thinks his character is bad for the sport

In an interview with The Ring, Larry Merchant, who provides color commentary for most of broadcaster HBO’s high-magnitude boxing matches, cited Pacquiao’s willingness to face top opposition.
“When I look at Pacquiao, I see that he fought [Erik] Morales three times, [Marco Antonio] Barrera twice, [Juan Manuel] Marquez twice and then moved up to fight the top guys at 140 and 147 pounds at whatever status they had at the time. That to me says a lot,” Merchant said.
It was reported that during his stint at welterweight, the brash Mayweather avoided top contenders and instead fought mediocre foes. He is facing Marquez — a lightweight —in his return bout on July 18.
Pacquiao, on the other hand, has repeatedly moved up in weight to face bigger guys like David Diaz, Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton — and destroyed all three in shocking fashion.
This, Merchant believes, is what made him pick Pacquiao as the better man.
“If you look back at the record, though, I think it shows that Pacquiao is better. I want someone willing to take risks, someone who moves me,” he said.
“I think Pacquiao is better than Mayweather.”
The 77-year-old boxing sage, however, pointed out that him picking Pacquiao doesn’t necessarily mean that the current pound-for-pound king will beat the former pound-for-pound boss — which just makes a Pacquiao-Mayweather showdown more intriguing.
By the way which top fighter did Manny beat at 147 because DelaHoya was coming down from 154 and he wasnt even a top fighter.DelaHoya struggled with a feather fisted Forbes
