Styles make fights.. Mayweather is running and potshots.. Throws few punches per round

Pacquiao is a monster offensively and hits you with a lot of combinations.

Im not trying to say manny is better than floyd cause manny beat oscar better just if mayweather really is one of the best fighters of our generation he should of been able to beat oscar way more convincingly then he did.
I agree, and he could have.

In Mayweather's fight with De La Hoya, Oscar began to tire in the later rounds and became a sitting duck for Floyd's quick powerpunches... but instead of turning it up with combinations and really putting on a show for the fans, what did Floyd do? He played it perfectly safe and just pot-shotted his way to victory.

Safe crap like that is what keeps people from ranking Mayweather as high as he thinks he should be ranked. If you want to be seen as one of the top all-time greats you have to take the risks and impress the way Manny Pacquiao does.

Im not using the triangle theory, i dont think manny will beat floyd because manny beat oscar better and i know styles makes fights.. im just questioning whether mayweather really is as good as we think he is with no killer instinct

Mayweather did not struggle at all with Oscar. Most of the rounds DLH won he stole them at the end with a flurry. Mayweather fought a safer fight with Oscar @ 154 and did not really get into an offensive state of mind.

i think the manny mayweather fight would resemble the jones calzage fight only it would be closer. but still if manny can take his shots he could win a decision easy. he just throws so many punches and does not get tired, alot like joe.also southpaw.

Mayweather's safe style is why people don't think so highly of him, because when guys play it safe it opens questions as to why the guy doesn't take risks. Does he play it safe because he knows he can't take a good shot like Roy Jones did? You just have to wonder why guys like Mayweather are so afraid to take risks and maybe lose.

DLH had more left when he fought PBF, and PBF didn't attack him so viciously.

That's true, but the question is why Mayweather didn't attack Oscar like he could have? Playing it safe like that gets you little respect in boxing just ask Wlad Klitschko.

because mayweather is a chicken.. he is counter puncher..
and pacquiao is a true champion.. he is like tyson..
                    they are not counter punchers..

One thing glaringly obvious and interesting to me about those 2 fights is that Oscar was able to hit Floyd flush a lot more while with Manny he couldn't set up because of all the quick footwork and upper body movement while he was being taken apart from different angles.

Manny was actually more elusive than Floyd even though Floyd took the defensive route in winning his fight.
