The recently announced freak match does not interest me at all as a fight, not in the least. But I find its parameters highly intriguing. The match is with Camacho jr., except he will fight three different opponents in the match. First he will fight Chavez jr, then the next two rounds will be against Omar Chavez. The finally, the last two rounds will see him contest the geezer himself, Julio Caesar Chavez sr.

It is highly encouraging for the future of the sport (freak matching) that these boys are willing to bend the parameters anywhere they want for entertainment purposes. The bad thing for the sport, of course, is that this PPV is barely going to sell outside Mexico, and may thereby discourage others from freak matching.

All because a wrestler named Bradshaw thought he was the toughest guy in the locker room.

What's with the Hugh Beaumont glowing eyes avatar dude? What did Ward Cleaver ever do to you?
I didn’t mind seeing someone get knocked out for real . It’s far better then some going into MMA like that CM Punk who couldn’t fight for anything fighting real fighters . A little boxing tournament is entertaining,Ken Sharockk would have probably won it but he said they only paid 100 K I think . I guess that’s chump change for him ?

      I am Ward Cleaver .

          The Peoples' Fight

Contestants who would normally appear on shows like Judge Judy and Jerry Springer will be matched in four two minute rounds.

Announcers will lay out the dispute in preflight interviews and over involved referees e.g. Miles Lane or Richard Steele will insure any lack of action is supplemented by confusion and added controversy.

Contestants will be advised that both physical and verbal abuse, heaped on an opponent will score points thus encouraging screaming and cursing along with the punching.

To motivate reluctant contestants 'justice' will be awarded on a sliding economic scale via decisions, TKO or clean KO with the unjust (loser) receiving considerablely less of the avaiable purse. (Maybe live audience members can add to the kitty by throwing loose change in the ring or at the fighters.)

With this we will finally have, truly have, two participants who actually hate each other. No more fake trash talk but instead real neighbors and work colleagues viscously working out decade old embitterments . . . The Peoples' Fight, weekdays at 3PM.

P.S. personally I would rather watch midgets fight, but that's just because I'm a traditionalist at heart. But those bleeding heart ******** have shut down those fights for good.

P.S.S. We could possibly match Internet forum advisories as well.

I wonder which will be the first freak match for an actual heavyweight championship. The first world championship won by a bonafide freak is bound to be the granddaddy of championships, the heavyweight championship. When will such an event occur, is perhaps an even more interesting speculation. Any match qualifies that would not have been sanctioned under normal circumstances in boxing. Sully will always find a way to accommodate and be accommodated.

I didn't connect this thread to your avatar unti just now - you come by the fetish honestly LOL - I guess Wilt- Ali would have been your dream fight.

You'll get your wish someone will eventually cross over from the NFL (not named Mark) it seems inevitable.

                  Mayweather-Paul is freakish enough.

It's a start, though nothing I would personally want to see.

Punish wimps like Spence and Crawford by out attending freak matches over PPV boxing. It will be lovely to see their whining mugs then.

What about that fight coming up with Lamar Odum against Nick Carter? A freak fight if I ever saw one.
