I guess it's okay to be racist if you're not white though.
Toney had the great when he fought Sam Peter - "when I hit Peter, he's going to wake up in a banana boat heading back to Africa"

He also said He was doing Peter a favor fighting him so he could buy another Cow for his herd. Toney is definitely an equal opportunity name caller lol. What is ironic is that a good deal of Toney's career was managed by a White women lol. I actually think Toney realizes this and just has the confidence to not care what people think... Toney loves to eat and fight and is unapologetic regarding both. My own short list of favorite fighters included James.

I remember he kept baiting him with the whole "you're a fake African, he put on that dashiki when he walked in here"

Liston had the same problem as Tyson, a buried insecurity that made him pursue a life of a degenerate. Liston had real drug problems, it's really any wonder Ali anchor punched him in the second fight, Liston probably took the fight just for the money to keep partying.

Another theory, not drug addition or ********, but that he was using his connections to move on another mobster's territory (loan sharking and book making); that he wasn't dim but actually quite street smart and very aggressive and was moving up the food chain at someone else's expense.

And a very credible theory to boot.
