He said Wlad was #8 and said Lewis top 2 of all times.

He didn't fight guys like wach, leapai, pianeta, mormeck. he would have vacated his belt instead of paying fees to fight a guy like leapai. Lewis made voluntary defences vs Rahman, golota, Tyson, vitali, botha, briggs, holyfield (unification), Bruno, tony tucker. Wlad hasn't even come close to fighting the level of competition lennox did. Lennox made tougher defences on voluntaries then wlad did mandatory.
I know it's narrow minded of me to say this and skill trumps everything but these Super Heavyweights are monsters. I think Wlad would hold is own against most Heavies from the past. He's a physical specimen with SKILL.Last edited by REMOVE SHARK 55; 05-17-2015, 08:09 AM.

I'd say Sam Peter and that's about it.
Problem with Wlad is, he's not a fighter. He doesn't have a fighters heart.

Pretty much agree with BMK. If Wlad couldn't clinch like he does I think he'd have so many more KO losses. Lewis I'd the better fighter and fought the better opponents in my opinion. I'm start to come around to give Wlad some respect even though it's hard as every fight consist of 1-2 clinch, 1-2 clinch. It's not his fault Heavyweight has been awful. I mean it's starting to heat up with Wilder, Povetkin, Jennings and Fury as top contenders but even then those guys would probably struggle to be relevant in other eras.

How about his wins over Povetkin and Haye, how do you think they'll be seen years down the line?. They were credible opponents on paper and he dealt with them with ease and that takes skill. Hypothetically speaking if he goes on to beat Fury and Wilder now? two younger & what I'll call elite talents (not everyone agrees).
