i see what you're saying, but we can't discount jones defensive abilities in his prime, even if he relied on his reflexes. he was freakishly fast to react, and just as freakish with his physical speed.

I am watching a few highlights right now , Hilario Zapata seems very spectacular, some of his moves remind me of Rigondeaux.
Impressive how he can dodge punches while in the pocket.

Miguel Canto looks more "conventional", very fast to get in and out from what I've seen so far.

Watching Willie Pep in the ring really shows that he is one of the great defensive masters, his footwork and clinch techniques made him one of the most elusive and hard to hit boxers to date.
