I see the apologist has completely backtracked on his original claims,Ray Leonard was "one of my all time favourite fighters" he claims after making a post discrediting him.The fact that you would backtrack and respond with an eleven paragraph's worth of dribble, has shown me that you don't believe half the crap that you post.

We already established that you were a Duran apologist in a seperate thread and you know what thread that I am talking about because I responded to you there.Your attempts at laughing off claims that Duran ducked Gonzalez by trying to misqoute me and mislead others into claims that I never actually made have shown you up to the child that you are.I never said that Gonzalez would have demolished Duran and you know very well that I didn't.

When did I ever ask the question "How can Leonard duck Hearns when he has already fought and beaten him by TKO?" You answered that as if I had ever brought it up,no,I said "Leonard retired in 1982" ater you suggested that Leonard had ducked a rematch for eight years, and it's quite clear that you yourself suggested that.

I am going along with what Thomas Hearns himself said. While Hearns fought,Leonard commentated on his fights and if you have seen the hbo rebroadcast of the Hagler-Hearns fight, then you would have known there was no hard, bitter feelings when Leonard conversed with Thomas Hearns on the review of that fight.

You await for "the insulting, repetitive reply" and yet you post this "You dumb Duran apologist. Haterz. LAMO. pwn! Money Mai rulez. PWN!"

Same pathetic, childish retort as usual,as you have used on the end of your posts many times, and you talk about me having a "weird inferiority complex "

In response to your other post,I believe a nerve has been touched here.A very personal response we have here, from somebody who is angry, and no longer feels the need to be civil.Surely if you were so confident that I was wrong then you would explain why, rather than slinging **** in my direction.I do hope you note the irony in you telling others to "get a life" over a post that you disagreed with on an internet forum? You call me a racist and yet it seems that it was Ray Robinson, who never wanted to give the top fighters and contenders of his own skin colour a payday, just as he had no problem in doing so with the top white fighters of his day, surely all is equal here?

He had already reached the zenith for me by beating the four other greats while only losing one of those fights.

I basically look upon his career up to Hagler. What he did after makes no difference to me, I think he was so special up to that point, and had beaten such fighters like Duran, Benitez, Hearns and Hagler that the rest is just kind of nothing. The LaLonde fight was just a trumped up piece of garbage fight all about fame, fake accomplishments and publicity. The actual fight itself was ok and it was a good hard fight in which Leonard performed well (I do think it might have been different at LHW but it still doesn't matter to me, and it might not have either) and won, dodgy or not.

It was everything before then that made up my mind.
Yeh, ya right, he aint that bad, the poison just started running off my fingers after I read your post.. Slippery **** though, wasn't he?

Oh definitely. Like I said, he was very smart business wise. Kind of like 'Money Mai, PWN Lamo, haterzzz' is today, though he still actually fought very difficult fights and there were also very difficult fights to be had still at that time too, unlike now.

I don't think I would have him in the top 10 if I sat down and drew up a list, but I can understand those that do. Guy got it done in the ring, no matter what you think of his controversial fights (Hagler won ) or his personality outside the ring.

Thomas Hearns never hated Ray Leonard and he himself has even stated that he has never held a grudge against any man was very mellow in the post fight interview after their rematch.Leonard retired in 1982 and returned to the ring almost five years later(excluding Kevin howard),just a year after their first fight,so you claiming that Leonard ducked Hearns sounds good on paper, but when it comes from a bitter Duran apologist such as yourself,it holds no legitimacy.I do know that Roberto Duran never retired at the time that Rodolfo Gonzalez wanted to unify the titles, but that becomes lost to the apologists.

I believe TheGreatA already schooled you on that one. But in the immortal word of Apu, from televisions "The Simpsons"....."Thank you very much, come again."
