- - Dempsey made more $$$ boxing than any previous champ before him. The Heavyweight Champ used to mean a lot more to the public than today with the plethora of watered down sports.
Baseball is the top sport for earnings with Albert Pujols making near $$$350 Mil over 21 years, the latter years as a designated hitter. Of course l'l floydy and Manny probably approached that, baseball contracts are more player friendly in the taxation than boxing contracts.
