    So numbers mean NOTHING!

    I'll ask again . . .

We're the Brothers K legit HW Champions?

I know Wald was - where does the other brother fit in?
Benard Hopkins made 11 defenses at middleweight with just 1 belt before he finally unified. Was he not a real champion?

Vitali made those 10 defenses while his brother had the other 3 titles.

It's like you dudes don't really follow boxing

Unnecessary insult aside (I realize it is the norm) what again is the point of those numbers?

There was a period in the '00 years where a series of Russian fighters were passing around the WBA Super HW Title. I think the defenses were taking place in local auto mechanic garages.

So again, how legit was the brother's title? Not how many, how legit?

The Gibbons brothers are a great choice for best

The Klitschko and the Curry Brothers were both champions. The Cooper brothers were hard to tell apart. The DeJohn family out of Syracuse was basass. The Moyer brothers. The Fullmer brothers, the Baltazar brothers, Hagler & Simms, the Benitez brothers, the Turpins, the Tiozzo brothers, Khaosai and Khaokor Galaxy were twins who both became champions in two styles of fighting!

We have long ago passed the point where world champion and WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, WBU, WBE, WBF, WAA beltholder have a similar connotation. What is this, 1970s style regional pro wrestling???? Most contenders get a "World title belt" at some point. It simply means that you're a contender.......though not always. Lol.

You're referring to Ruslan chagaev and Nikolai Valuev.

Wlad beat chagaev and Haye beat Valuev and then wlad beat Haye.

So again the klitschko brothers had all the straps after the lennox lewis era until the fury/wilder/joshua era

28 defenses between 2 brothers. Simple mathematics

I think we can lament the fractured meaning of being a champion in the numerous belt era, while still recognizing that the Klitchkos were the class of their era (late '00s to early '10s). Post Lewis Vitali beat those who he matched up against and was the consensus #1 heavy in the world. Wlad later carried that mantle, and defeated a number of the Russian claimants you mentioned.

Nobody fights everyone, let alone beats everyone, but they did the most during that time period and deserve the recognition as such, despite the watering down of the term, 'champ'

I was just naming boxing brothers, never said they were any good. But I do believe Floyd Sr. and Roger were both world champions and so were two of the four Smith brothers.

I'm with you. I just felt Hatton and cotto brothers was disrespectful to the klits.
