By burka, now you are getting into some rich territory. I did not know about 3 out of 4 of the belts you mentioned. List them all, please.

It is extremely important. This could mean Mayweather is the King of Flavors, and not Pacqiao. Poor Pacman, clipped by Floyd again.

Who won the Eternity championship? I don't recall that one. Not that its surprises me cuz I barely pay attention to also ran belts these days.

I like it better how the UK gots domestic/national belts that actually mean something for that region. I remember when being the USBA, NABF or even NY belt holder meant something. These also ran ABC belts are nothing belts to me.

An exhaustive list of belts is a dream.

Every boxer within reach should go for the Lineal title (The Ring/TBRB), if to want to make a legacy.
The "undisputed" title won't last for long. The dishonorable boxing orgs are acting swiftly to make it disputed again.

Yea everytime the fans agree that these two or these three sanctioning bodies constitute the 'true' champions another appears.

We started with Ali (lineal) and Terrell (WBA) then we moved to Frazier (NYSAC) and Ellis (WBA) - then the WBC appears along with the IBF and then you needed three belts to be undisputed - now Teo Lopez wins four belts in one night and someone points out that he still missing one. WOW!

I think the Bodies don't want undisputed champs certainly the TV people don't.

I guess it got worse from the early 80s. I used to read in the boxing mags how promoters/mgrs began to complain about the TV-channels and their sudden reluctance to broadcast unless there was a title at stake.

Yea every fight is a title fight which means none of them are title fights, except those golden few that we fans recognize as the big ones.

The fighters and managers should all rebel against this and just have 1 true champion. If networks want a big fight, then promote them as either grudge matches or contender matches where the winner moves up in the rankings and gets a future title shot. As long as every fighter agrees to it, then things will really change. They probably need a union, like the other sports have, if they don't have one already.

Union? The IBC was a union. A manager's union created by the mob. We probably don't want a union - but we do need some government regulation somehow and it has to be at the federal level. We might, they might be better off if we made them federal employees. But I'm not sure how that could work but I fear a union would open the door for much corruption again.
