Knowing the history of Panama Lewis it's very easy to suspect some improper behavior in the Arguello fight. I would think the bottle contained amphetamine (aka speed) which works immidiately. Lewis himself said it was tap-water...
agreed, let's not forget the incident on the bobby collins jr bout, panama lewis removed 2 ounces of tampering tape from his other boxer and put plaster in both fists, his fighter basicly destroyed collins jr with ROCKS, which led bobby to committing suicide because of the loss.

One of three fights of the decade. Hagler vs Hearns & Hearns Leonard I being the other two.

Watched that fight live back in '82 (i think it was closed circuit tv)

Controversey aside with the water bottle, Pryor was the best LWW of the last 30 or so years. I believe he would have beaten Chavez, Tszyu and Hatton all in their primes. I think Arguello could have beaten them as well...Just my opinion!

I stand by what I stated. The stomach has a delayed reaction. Even drug abusers know this and chose to smoke or inject drugs for that reason. It's 10,000% faster and stronger than eating them.

Docs prefer IVs in hospital settings for the reasons I previously stated

Regardless, you have no case. No substances were against the rules. Lewis never hid that he mixed a bottle and said he gave Pryor some peppermint schnapps. We only know what he stated which was unconfirmed.

We don't know what was in Arguello's bottle because knuckleheads never bothered to ask him since he lost and nobody checked his bottles either.

You've got no case against Pryor, just naked intransigence, like some old farmer's plow mule up and sitting on his haunches in the middle of spring plowing.

Iv's are used for many reasons, Idiot.......many are because the medicine can not be administered via the mouth for various reasons, physical inability, drug is naturally shot, body simply can not digest good at the time..Many reason.... Not solely because of 15 minute rule. Jesus where do you get your false information form. Listen son, you have no idea what your talking about with the 15 minutes. That is for the ordinary foods that travel the digestive route..Your body has abilities you dont even know about. This is my profession son. I suggest you study the endocrine effect, it will show how ****** your ranting on here about all foods take 15 minutes to digest. I wonder why diabetics are are given candy bars,,bananas..sugar pills immediately after they go low.....hmmmmm

Study the Endocrine effect first, the study boxing, your analysis of boxing suffers as does your understanding of the human body. Some things travel vs the blood stream, or the nervous system sends signals to certain parts of the body based on a whole slew of reasons. Certain drugs use the asending and descending pathways to signal that ( in short) they are not feeling pain. Cymbalta is this drug...Hmmm it acts within 5 minutes, and is taken orally....Hmmmmm 15 minutes....Wow. London rules..Please save it.

If there was no rules that could have been broken by Lewis giving Pryor a substance between rounds...why was there a investigation. No one on here knows what it was, or if it was banned. Some things were banned at the time, some things were not. How in the hell do you know what was given. Your sounding ******...man. Please....I guess you and Panama are buddies, and he told you

Give me a break. What a waiste of a debate.
