Would the tyson who lost to douglas been beaten by the fighters he fought before that

I think many of the guys tyson beat in the eighties would of beaten that tyson . I think people underestimate how bad tyson tyson was in that fight . he showed no headmovement, no jabbing or footwork and threw something like 13 punches in the first round . The thing about tyson is that he was a short heavyweight with short arms and had a huge distance to close . if he didnt move his head and throw lots of punches to the body and head and put constant pressure on his opponent they could get a rhythm going with consistant jabbing and keep him on the outside . I believe that mobile boxers that tyson beat such as quick tillis, tony tucker, pinklon thomas and tony tubbs would of done what douglas did to tyson . If you remember tyson always had trouble with movers even if it was for only one round as in the example of tubbs and biggs. tucker on the otherhand troubled tyson for 3 rounds but after that tyson broke him down.

Tony Tucker would have he won 4 rounds against a prime Tyson.

i think 4 rounds is stretching it . tucker won 3 rounds at most. the official judges scores were 11 rounds to 1, 10 rounds to 2 and 9 rounds to 2 with 1 even.

I don't think anyone would have beaten Tyson at that point in time. He was basically an animal, a great boxer who had fire in his eyes, someone who was technically supreme. He could punch with both fists, had an iron chin, had millions of gallons of adrenaline flying through, and had a thirst for other people's blood. He had it all, but it all went down the drain due to mental decline, Cus d' Amato dying, and some slut claiming he'd ****ed her against her consent. It's a shame. Not just a shame, a crying shame.

Tucker did win 1st round and quite a few of the early rounds as i remember it then Tyson took over after the 4th or 5th round but 3 rounds or 4 it don't really matter i still think Prime Tucker would of beat the Tyson who fought Douglas.

Tucker would have beat a 90's Tyson the same way Holyfield did.

Being from Grand Rapids I had high hopes for TNT. Tony had a great game plan..scoring with that uppercut when Tyson came inside as well as the right hand over the top. The rumor always was that he broke his hand in either round 4-5.....

i rewatched the fight last night . tucker did easily win rounds 1 and 3 where he boxed and moved and threw lots of punches. but from the 5 th round on all he did was run and hold. i think he was afraid that if he tried to trade punches with tyson he would get knocked out . he really did hold a lot . i think millis lane should of deducting points for that tactic. come to think of millis almost did in the 9th or 10th round.

Tyson was not the same fighter he was when he fought Douglas, he lost his peak a boo style and just threw bombs. Tyson very rarely got hit hard in his career and that fight alone was bad. When Tyson Knocked out Mike Spinks in 72 secs that mike tyson would have beat ANY heavy weight over any period!

Yeah, I think Tucker, Biggs, and even Thomas would have beaten the Douglas Tyson.
