Regis Prograis has indicated he might yet carry on with his professional boxing career.

After his decision loss to Jack Catterall in Manchester, England, on Saturday, the former two-time world champion from New Orleans indicated that his future might lie elsewhere and suggested he might head to the bareknuckle circuit.

However, he has since taken to X to write: “Might be time to move up. I’m tired of being skinny.”

Prograis then added with pictures from the Catterall fight: “No I’m not retiring. I will be champion again.”

In a conversation with Fight Hub TV, Prograis said Catterall was better than he thought he would be. “He’s an awkward fighter, but he’s definitely better than I thought.”

When Prograis was asked whether Catterall was a better fighter than Devin Haney, who Prograis lost to in December, Prograis said: “I can’t say better or not. Nah, I think Devin has more tools. But I would say this about that: I was better as a fighter Saturday night than I was with Devin. The Devin fight, it wasn’t me at all, for sure. That wasn’t me at all. With this fight, I was more focused, I was more present. I was in the moment; even walking to the ring, I enjoyed myself. I can still replay everything in my mind. With the Devin fight, I really wasn’t there. I can’t say who is better. Both of them are good boxers, but what I can say is, I think Devin has more tools, though.”

In the aftermath of his win, Catterall took to social media to support Prograis should he choose to continue, writing: “Can still do damage in the 147-division good luck Regis.”

Meanwhile, Catterall and Haney have exchanged tweets about a possible fight, and Catterall also called out Liam Paro, as well as posting “Hello @TeofimoLopez.”
