Wladimir Klitschko’s rescheduled world heavyweight title defence against Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 early) will remain on Sky Sports Box Office here in the U.K., with Kell Brook’s IBF welterweight title defence against Diego Gabriel Chaves (23-2-1, 19 KOs) moved to Sky Sports 1 in order to accommodate the November PPV.
Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) faces Fury at Dusseldorf's Esprit Arena on November 28 after recovering from the calf injury that nixed the original October date, his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO titles will be on the line. Brook's fight is on October 24, Fury's original date; Chris Eubank Junior will make his full Matchroom debut on the undercard after signing with the company earlier this month—he takes on Tony Jeter over 12.
Brook's fight was due to be the U.K. part of the original Klitschko-Fury PPV, but the switch in date means a switch in channel for the 35-0 (25) Sheffield-based titlist, who will make the third defence of his title at the city’s Arena.
Eddie Hearn confirmed the news earlier today, Tweeting that it means more exposure for the same money for Brook.
However, there was no word from the promoter about the status of his December 12 bill at London’s O2 Arena, which is topped by Anthony Joshua versus Dillian Whyte for the British heavyweight title and was also penciled in as a PPV event. “No decision yet,” was Hearn’s response when asked whether his pre-Christmas London show would remain on Sky Box Office.
