Machida is gonna lose. Machida doesn't like inside fighters, especially a master of dirty boxing in Couture. With a huge wrestling pedigree.

Where are you getting this idea from? Machida always keeps his distance, only someone with a lot of explosiveness could force Machida into a clinch with some inside fighting and dirty boxing. Not gonna happen, he will avoid Couture all night, mark my words.

You can like him as much as you want, but he really is an old man now. Yeah he's beaten great fighters at his age, but not someone with the speed of Machida. Speed kills......

Not a good comparison. Rampage is closer to his or in his physical peak, has little wear and tear, and has power in his fists to keep Machida cautious of engaging. I see it as Machida's fight to lose.

This will be a pretty close fight imo. I think Machida will pull it off, but I don't think it will be that easy.

Couture will try to grind out a victory fighting on the inside and against the cage, just like Rampage did. Actually Couture has been doing that for almost all his fights.

Machida has pretty underrated punching power as well. It's possible he can crack Couture's chin coming in.

I assume you're referring to the Vera fight. I agree he was gifted that one. He has to hope that Machida doesn't even show up and allows Randy to get to him. That's the only way he wins. Randy's in the same position that Matt Hughes is in at 170 in that he'll beat fringe contenders or old farts but as far as top level opposition goes, he's done IMO.

Wouldnt be surprised if Machida makes a statement out of Couture with a brutal striking display. he would of beat rampage if hed woken up in rd1 or 2.

I'm actually looking forward to this fight, I want to see how Lyoto can do against Randys inside fighting and ground game.

Randy better do plenty of sprints in training if he's gonna catch Machida. I'm not really a Machida fan, but I think this is a bad matchup for Couture. He's gonna be chasing Machida all night, and most likely will get caught coming in. This fight will def. show Randy's age imho.
