I believe it was a combination of excitement, cage, and overlooking Werdum. He must have figured that, Nogueira's guard > Werdum's guard and since he whooped Nogueira three times Werdum would be nothing. Also when the fight went to the ground, Fedor was doing everything rigt, but as he was excaping IE circling to his right, the cage was there which forced him to move left right into the choke. But instead of stopping and repositioning himself he kept throwing shots and therefore got caught.

i dont think he lost cuz he got lazy i think he lost cuz he got over anxious and didnt think, he knew werdum was an ace on the ground, when he escaped the first time he should let the fight stand but when he dived down he made a mistake. He WILL be back u can count on it

and he got submitted.
no luck, no fluke. just one guy beating another in the area he excels.
but no, noone can credit werdum for winning, only discredit fedor for losing.
**** fedor fans.
idc if u think im a troll. you delusional fans made me this way
Not that it isn't obvious regardless.

he slipped as the result of his ego and werdum skillfully capitalized on it, werdum specifically trained for this type of scenario in reign
atleast this loss will now motivate fedor to become an even better fighter, since this step backwards he can take 5 more steps forward to improve himself
man cant wait for his next fight

Kenny Florian (from Twitter): . No such thing as "just got caught." It was a technical error. He didn't slip & fall into the triangle. Got caught (twice).

I still like how Fedor just tore through him standing up. Fedor just missed with the combo but probably thought he landed. Werdum just fell back, looked weak to me, and kinda got lucky to have Fedor fall into perfect position. 95% of the time that doesnt happen, cant wait for the rematch.Last edited by Darkstar; 07-16-2010, 11:10 AM.

What happened to Brock being too strong for everyone? What happened to Brock being too fast for the other HWs? His great wrestling? His unstoppable takedowns? Him being a great natural athlete? Oh yeah, all of those claims turned out to either be untrue or to count for nothing against Carwin
Fedor fans at least have a great resume and great skills and diversity to back up their fandom. Brock fans have 'wow, he's so big it's unnatural. Though not unnatural in a steroids way, haters'.
awesome logic.
