      Yeah out of curiosity I was looking at how many strikes hes absorbed each fight to see if theres a pattern of decline. In his 9 UFC fights leading up to the Jan loss he absorbed 317 strikes, in the 8 fights from Jan onwards hes absorbed 691.

      Clearly hes slowing. And he was a hit and not get hit type fighter. Whereas Poatan is more reliant on just being a big scary dude with massive power which is a style that tends to be less effected by age.

        Pereira has also had far fewer fights:
        40 pro kickboxing
        13 pro MMA
        1 pro boxing
        25 amateur kickboxing
        ~5 amateur boxing (can't find a solid number but he switched to kickboxing relatively quickly)
